*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Interestingly, a competitor I've got alerts for has just dropped the price of the OC TUF to 689 - but kept the non-OC at 720.

Wonder if that's any indication of how incoming stock is looking between the two cards? If I could snatch the OC variant for 30 less than my non-OC and wave goodbye to OCUK in one button press it'll be a great day...

The Indian takeaway has had these prices for a while

Where are these guys getting FE from ? Are they UK ?? Really interested as I must be checking the wrong sites or something lol
You're about 7 hours late, but if you want FE just keep an eye on the official nvidia site (NOT A COMPETITOR COZ OCUK DONT SELL IT PLS DONT HURT ME MODS).

For what it's worth, the page on the competitor that had them has been entirely removed now and 404's. So it's entirely possible that the next batch of FE's could go to a different retailer. Unlikely to be OCUK with how things are looking though :P

The 3080's sold out in a matter of minutes, but quite a few of us here were lucky enough to get 3090's. I'm not sure if I'll keep my 3090 yet but it's giving me options yet, if OC are still outright silent for another two weeks about these asus cards I at least have a good fallback.

Who else remembers when we were told production was supposed to ramp up in mid october and deliveries were supposed to be plentiful.

That would result in cards landing on your doorstep mid-November.
Shipping takes, on average, around 30 days from factory to doorstep. If they've ramped up production last week we've still got three weeks to wait until numbers arrive here.

For those who wanna brag the 3090 is miles ahead of the 3080:

I’m just over 400 in the queue for the Asus Tuf non oc but hearing nothing about Asus deliveries in weeks is concerning

Exactly, we're not hearing anything from anywhere. OCUK aren't giving us any info and ASUS? more like a-sus (I'll show myself out) The few occasional cards arriving anywhere in the UK only seem to be OC or STRIX at this point.

Bit the bullet and cancelled my order. My watch is ending here but I'm gonna either wait it out or try for a different card. Anyone behind 95th in the Strix non oc queue you've just moved 1 forward, best of luck everyone. Would've kept the order if ASUS weren't so bad at producing non oc

We are working directly with NVIDIA and various graphics card vendors to secure as much stock as possible. Luckily, being one of the biggest suppliers of computer hardware in the UK means we can almost guarantee we will receive allocation before anyone else - OCUK 2020

*Cough* - Un-named UK based competitor website selling founders editions and also getting more stock on all other cards than OCUK.

I think it was removed pretty fast, I mean the entire site was going down constantly all day during launch day because of the extreme number of people hitting the page trying to order.
I can't ask/say who but I'm tracking all the competitors who give out public info on their preorders and no they're not giving better updates. They're at best vague guesses which have been constantly revised over time because they were wrong. And right this moment they have no more information on future orders as they're all TBC. There's no more reliable data there than what Gibbo has posted in the update thread.

People seem to imagine that Gibbo has magical foresight so he knows with no external sources some secret panacea of information that he could divulge and put us all out of our misery but won't because he's too busy laughing at our suffering behind our backs. He doesn't know, the competitors don't know, stock production is tiny shipments are tiny and irregular and have very little pattern to them, there's not enough information to give accurate ETAs. This weird conspiracy has started to build up around this which is that actually people do know but they just want to p*ss off a load of their customers, because reasons...

I'm not conspiracy-minded and I find the conspiracies here ridiculous, but Hanlon's Razor applies here fine - incompetence rather than malice.
The customer comms isn't good because they either just don't care enough for it to put much focus on it or aren't very good at it when they do.
Ofc they don't "want" to p*ss off a load of their customers, but they are, and that's obviously a customer service fail.

It's possible, IMO, that they just don't prioritise it much because their business bread is buttered better elsewhere, which is fine, that's a business call, but it doesn't justify a defence of customer service they've let slide.

I was staying pretty level headed compared to some on here. But the fact that competitors are now actually showing how many outstanding pre orders they have as well as shipping dates, the lack of info from OC is a real downer. Especially after talking themselfes up beforehand

Right, I have no idea how people are justifying a 3090 when it's not hugely different to buying a 3080 off a scalper inflating the price by 50%.
If you can justify one I can't see why you couldn't justify the other. I'll pass on both.

I don't know whether I should laugh or cry with OcUK.

I ordered another Asus card with another e-tailer on Saturday. Today I received an email from them where they listed all the 30 series cards they sell complete with estimates of when they are expecting the first shipments and for the Asus cards, the estimated dates for the second shipment also. I also spoke to them on the phone and they told me where I am inline for the card I ordered and which shipment my card is in. So now I know my place in line (a single-digit figure for the shipment) on a card I only ordered 2 days ago.

Compare that to OcUK. I ordered my card 2 days after launch. I've had 2 emails off them telling me my queue position (which is still in triple-digits, despite 120 cancelations for the card I ordered) and there has been ZERO communication regarding estimated shipment dates. On top of this we can see by the shipment tracker (a forum member created) - rough figures for cards OCuK have received/shipped out.... and it looks like they've received ZERO for the card I ordered, despite their claims of buying power with Nvidia.

With the above in mind - do you think I'll receive the first card I ordered or the second card first? Who am I most likely to order from again? I guess time will tell.

I think they just playing us tbh and they’ll drag it out as long as they possibly can because their pre builds will come first so most of the stock will be put aside for them

Yeah, I’ve been pretty passive so far but starting to get annoyed as well. I put trust in OCUK due to them saying these things. I highly doubt I’ll buy anything else on here after this.
I hope things rapidly escalate in the coming few weeks like some rumours suggest.
My trust has been affected too. How could it not be?
