Great gfx card, had mine for a couple of months now and no complaints! it's a beast, cool running and quiet, though does pull 340W at the wall! but only when really pushed, bandwidth 760 + gb/s what's not to like, not much room for overclocking as they are already pretty much at their limit, though you can a little, had more success undervolting ro be honest, have fun, hope you love it as much as I do, especially in this present climate:p

Is that wattage all in or was that solely the GPU draw power?

Haven't been on in a while. Was surprised to have not had an email about upgrading my 3080 as I ordered an hour after release?

Whats the chances I have been missed out by accident? Also any news on the Eagle and if it's been EOL or not?

WTF??? You ordered an hour after release and you still haven’t got your card, that’s almost a year wait? Are OCUK doing this on purpose to try and make people cancel or upgrade so they don’t have to honour the launch price!!

Possibly contact CS, I ordered an hour after launch for the eagle and I can confirm I received my upgrade email around 2 weeks ago. Currently sitting 6th in-line for the eagle, I decided to wait and not take the offer. So perhaps you have been missed. As for the EOL I did contact Gigabyte they replied neither confirming nor denying EOL, they only stated they where doing everything they can to continue supply and there is no time frame.

Yeah just post in the CS forum > Order query. There are plenty of 3080 Ti's if you want one, price is a bit eye watering but you should get about £150 - £200 off the web list price if you have a 3080 preorder here. I went for it - very happy with my Ti even if it is awful value for money!

Well guys it's been a fun ride. As i said earlier I finally bit the bullet and got myself a ASUS Strix 3080ti OC for far too much money. Many thanks to all the efforts Overclockers put in. :)

I was in the ASUS Strix 3080 OC queue from the 18th October last year.

Here is my queue list so you can gauge if you just jumped a place.

Well, at last, I can rest easy. It took more than a week but I finally got my new Win10 install fully set up and gave the 3080Ti a series of stress tests. Somehow getting all the way to 120fps in Death Stranding at 1440p, by some miracle.

The scenario that brought my 1660 to its knees was running Jedi Fallen Order at 1080p with a bunch of other stuff going on, and since JFO, UE4 or the 3080 cards running UE4 or some absurd mix of all of them makes Fallen Order run weird, I instead decided to try it out on Control with RTX on, ladies and gentlemen, I present you with A Realistic Use Case GPU Hell Hour:

unknown.png

Game running 1440p with ray tracing on, VSeeFace rendering a model on monitor 2, 2 instances of OBS compositing different scenes and encoding out in NVENC (one at 864p 8000kbps CBR, the other at 1440p CQP 12), and Nvidia Broadcast filtering background noise from my microphone. That's 3D rendering, RT cores, the AI Tensor cores, and the NVENC chip all being put under pressure at once. It's running at 96%, I have to turn off the OBS previews or lower game settings to prevent encoder overload, but the fact that this worked, GPU temp in the low 70s, good god, it's nice to have a real powerhouse.

My watch really has ended. Best of luck to anyone still waiting.

none of that was there when I joined the queue 10 months ago. There’s no way they would have took pre orders if they knew for a fact this would be the situation.

Which is why I have patients about the situation but it’s still a very bad situation to garner so many pre orders and not be able to fulfil it, you always have some rough idea about stock levels, It’s bad faith and I’m assuming they will want to try and win the customer support back. They have had and spent over and over my money probably several hundred times over now. Even if they just say the millions in sales in a account it would be getting interest.

I expect as a customer to have my order filled if needs be at ocuks cost. It’s what I would do with my shop and would expect nothing less from another shop.

so no I can’t see your point saying it’s basically the customers fault. They didn’t have to have the listing open for pre orders. If you can order it as a customer the expectation is that it will be fulfilled.

Can understand your frustration with this fella; when I looked at OCUK accounts and they only have around 15K circulating in a holding account according to companies house. I like you was questioning months ago where is all the millions from the pre-orders that there should be, and as it states clearly on their account submission OCUK is a dormant account operating in the UK with main accounts operating with their parent company out in Germany (not allowed to say who they are because of forum rules!!) where I have been monitoring stock levels at the parent, to make sure the parent has been dealing with insuring that stock is passed over to OCUK to clear back orders, frustrating to see the gigabyte card I ordered, sometimes in stock with the parent company being sold for between 1600-1800 euros rather than distributing the stock to the subsidiary to clear the back orders. part of me want to wait it out because of this as they have had my money for a product and the parent has been gazumping to people willing to pay double bubble for it, another part of me wants to see the offers as, I am using a 600 series at the moment, COD Black Ops now will not update the shaders and with CP 2077 with update 1.3 is now near enough unplayable and wanting to enjoy some gaming.

HAHA indeed.

@THJ They were an Nvidia promotion which expired many moons ago and Nvidia can't/won't offer any replacement. We tried arguing the toss with them but, put simply, there are longwinded contracts involved and they say that they are unable to do anything.

Strange that, because it was on Nvidia’s site forum 10 months ago when all this debacle started with customers asking about the game codes and what would happen if they did not receive their cards by the time the codes and offers expired sure there was something about the supplier picking up the tab in the Nvidia T&C’s with the game code!! was going to let the game slide just to have the hardware in my hand, but might just be thinking about breach of contract if the game promised does not come with the card as been waiting so long for it now!

It’s an absolute disgrace and boarders on fraud, OCUK are now doing this on purpose to try and make people cancel their orders as they don’t want to have to supply a card that is now under the current retail price(makes them and the parent company no money) , yet they were happy to take money for 1000s of orders they knew they could never honour.

I let this slide the first time, but stop trying to whip up indignation. We've apologised more times than I can recall for the situation and I've covered all of the issues so many times in this thread already. There's nothing remotely dodgy going on here.
To summarise though;
- There was no indication early on that supply would be so limited and we weren't advised to stop taking orders for days after launch, and that was only on specific SKUs. At that time most vendors were telling us that that back orders should be cleared by last Christmas & Nvidia were saying that supply should improve. They continued to bang this drum well into this year before it became apparent that the promises were empty.
- We've kept customers informed at all stages about the situation, as we understood it.
- We've gave customers a quick and simple way to get their money back at any time.
- The remaining queues are made up of cards with very limited manufacturer supply. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF A MANUFACTURER CHOOSES TO MAKE DIFFERENT MODELS! We've done countless free upgrades from models which manufacturers aren't making to ones which we had free stock of. This costs us hundreds of pounds for every upgrade and we have no obligation to do this.
- We are within our rights to cancel all back orders but instead, have offered customers the choice to wait, cancel or take one of the alternatives.

I don't know where you are getting your information but you couldn't be any further from the truth if you'd tried.
I guess you searched for Overclockers UK limited rather than what it says ON OUR HOMEPAGE!
OcUK LTD trading as Overclockers UK
and then jumped to wild conclusions from there...

As I've explained before, whilst we were bought out by Caseking originally, Caseking and OcUK are actually sister companies and part of a larger group, which was bought out by private investors.

There are five retailers as part of the group globally and we all work independently, sourcing (most) stock locally, the only stock which moves between entities are from our 'own brand' products or our exclusive/distribution products, and even then, that's done for logisitcal ease. i.e. one entity buys a container load of something and then spreads it out.

None of this is top secret information: https://progamersgroup.com/about.html

Our graphics card stock comes via the UK distribution chains for all brands, with the exception of a handful of brands who supply us direct from the Far East. Cross-border trading is frowned upon by all of the major hardware vendors.

Like others, I have decided to pull out of this absolute mess. Ordered it on the 8th of October, almost 11 months ago. Wish I could have gotten a card but no proper alternative was offered and frankly asking for more money for a lesser card is a spit in the face. Here is my queue progression. Wish you all well in getting one or perhaps you'll go for a 40 series like myself when they come out.

That's painfully close. I'm really sorry. 3080 supply dried up horribly since the Ti's launched.

Nvidia promotions always include terms & conditions which start with "*While supplies last", thus protecting them from such claims and there's nothing in the contract which "passes the buck" to the reseller, I'm the poor sod who has to read and sign them each time. The only time where we can be held liable is if we fail to end the promotion before the agreed deadline. Statutory rights still exist meaning that the customer can cancel/return the card for a full refund within 14 days, if this situation is unacceptable to them.
