I think you have the right card and have either £400/£750 left in your bank account for next series gfx card, or a PS5, or a good chunk towards an OLED. Maybe buy the Missus summat.

Given the number of people posting their success at getting fe cards, I am assuming my time is coming.

Did anyone get a 3060/ 3060ti?

Just annoying I was working and missed this one, but hey ho.

My 1st payment was rejected...took an age too..had to hop onto barclays app to verify also, so was worried I'd loose page...then after confirming came up with payment error and didn't go through. Card stayed in my basket though and went through the 2nd time....might just be the vendors systems can't cope with everyone buying the cards at the same time. Did gpu not stay in your basket? looked like once you got one you had a bit of time for the payment process..(i did set that up previously etc so just had to re log in to confirm it was me)

I fluked into one. Saw the alert on my phone clicked on it and somehow managed to get into the checkout. Arrives Monday!

The 3090 is huge! The cooler is far bigger than the 3080/3080ti FE and it runs cooler and quieter as it needs less fan with the big cooler. The 3080s have better AIB cards with quieter fans. 3090 FE can't do a mini ITX case build and may struggle on a Mico ATX case build.

The 3080FE is the best card of this generation price to performance wise and considering we are almost a year in now it will hold its price much better than the ti or 90 when the next gen cards release in 2022.
 
Are overclockers eventually going to do the queue system for 3080tis like they did for 3080s? ik they were doing the member stuff recently but i have nowhere near post amount and i dont see point spamming it now.
 
There is a UK retailer operating a queue system BTW, I'm position 19 for an EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra which I joined before I got lucky with the Telegram app the other day. They have a whole page setup where you can see how many people are in each queue and see when past orders have gone out so you get an idea of how long you will be in the queue. All you have do to join a queue for a specific GPU is click on the Pre Order button and pay for it up front. You can leave the queue at any time and when you are at the front you actually get offered alternative GPU's as stock comes in so you can accept that or stay in the queue for the one you initially signed up for. Obviously I can't mention the name of the retailer here but I'm sure if you Google'd 'UK 3080 Queue' or something extremely similar you'll no doubt find that retailer on the first page of results.
 
I can't make my mind up whether I can even be bothered with all the page refreshing/notification watching. I'm very keen for a card, and whilst I'd love to just wait until "things go back to normal", there's absolutely no indication as yet of when that might be!

I was in the same position last week and I'd given up, but I had Telegram setup and the very first UK link that came through I got lucky with, I missed the 3080ti but though sod it and hit the 3090 link and it went through so the very next day I had a brand spanking (and massive may I add) 3090FE sat at home. If you haven't already have a look back a few days in this thread and see how to setup Telegram, its worth it because that's how everyone here is managing to snag cards. If you've already tried that then just stick with it, its a complete lottery by the looks of things so the next drop could be the one for you.
