NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

It seems that the launches have been swapped around with the 3070ti coming first now. See here.

  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti: launch 31st May, reviews 2nd June, available 3rd June.
  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti: launch 31st May, reviews 9th June, available 10th June.

Don't think I'll be participating in this **** show this time, have been fortunate enough to actually receive my 3080 trio X before MSI decided to pump everyone else left in the queue. Probably cost me about double what I paid to upgrade even if I wanted and a lot more grey hairs:rolleyes:

Wouldn't be surprised one bit if the Ti launch is as much of a joke though:D

I believe that the AIBs will be allowed to start sharing information with press and resellers today. I obviously can't comment on founders and we haven't had any info yet either. However, my guess...if the 3080Ti Strix OC isn't closer to £1700 than £1300 I'll probably fall off my chair in shock because we currently expect the Ti to cost US £250-450 more than the 3080 is atm.

Sadly founders edition is the only chance at getting MSRP for the majority these days. MSRP being an absolute joke, just to make reviews over the years look good "3080 was only $650 for insane performance" etc etc, great for the 0.1% that managed to get one :P

It's a helluva lot of money for a gpu these days.
Stuff it. I'm getting no younger. I'd like to treat myself.

When and where (preferably overclockers) will stock these?

So how does one go about pr-ordering? Is that possible?

If any 3080Ti is anywhere close to £1700 then I'll be out of the PC Masterfarce for a long time if not forever.

The sad thing is these prices will stick around even once the pandemic/brexit/gpu mining are all a thing of the past, we should know this. I used to buy 2 of the top Ti gpus for the SLI illusion of greatness so was used to spending £1200 on graphics, but paying the same for one gpu is pushing the tip in too deep.

Two high end for £1200? GTX580 was a long time ago now!

You're in for a shock then.. 3090s are selling at £3k+ and 3080s can be found for £2k+ now so ... you better get ready. Sad times..

They don't sell for that though, any on eBay selling for that are likely getting trolled by a fake buyer or scammed.

My 3090FE was on FB Marketplace for £2,400 and the only interest I had was from people in Eastern European countries even though I had stated collection only. Ended up taking it to CEX

Is it really that bad that retailers are in the dark about pricing ~1 week from go live?
