NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

Oh guys c'mon, can we not just all play nice and either celebrate picking up 30xx GPU for MSRP or cry about the fact we couldn't. At least in this thread anyway.

Oh yeah those pesky complex PCBs! HAmmering profits so they are!

What a ridiculous argument. Not a good look when you patronise your customers.

You do realise that NVDA doesn't just make graphics cards right? That's why they are so much higher up than AMD, they have their fingers in many lucrative pies. You may as well have taken a screenshot of Apple stock and said this is how much profit they make off of iPods.....

Also your graph is up to mid 2016......

here is one from mid 2016 onwards, EVEN WORSE if you wish to take things out of context!

Last I heard, AMD don't just make graphics cards either? They make these other things that go in computers and games consoles. Now what were they....

That said, I do take @ahar 's point about stocks not necessarily being related to reality!

His point is that Nvidia are making huge profits from graphics card based on the stock chart. My point is that they don't just make graphics cards, so even if they went up 100% it doesn't mean they're making 100% off of graphics cards (even if that was how stocks work!). I'm not sure the point of your reply to me or why you take his point but not mine. I'm not saying AMD dont make other things, but Nvidia makes a huge, huge, huge chunk more money in 'not graphics cards' compared to AMD (their share price is 9x higher than AMD), but even so this isn't an amd vs nvidia comparison, it's an 'nvidia profits aren't just graphics card based' point i'm making.

Anyway...

Who's got a delivery update on their 3080ti (or other card they managed to grab)?

Mine still says delivery tomorrow but awaiting picking.

If I was to GUESS
AMD no longer have any real share of the workstation/render market which has grown massively in recent years.
Nvidia are a big part of cloud computing, something which has grown massively over the last decade.
They now also have solutions for the automotive industry and supply to companies such as Audi, which is no doubt a very lucrative side line.

I'd be remiss the mention that I'm sure that Nvidia make a sizable chunk of profit on every graphics card they sell - look at my posting history, I mention it regularly - but that's nothing new.
However, the focus on the post which got him so riled up was actually on the cost of manufacture, most of which Nvidia don't actually do themselves. (something else that I've covered here recently)

It's very difficult to be happy in others success from the other day. But I hope some gamers got their cards so they can make some sick RIG! I see some eBay listings already titled "Scan Order Confirmed RTX 3080 Ti FE" going for £2,499... they just bought it for MSRP from Scan and really going to make a markup percentage of 138%

Exactly why everyone is ****** off. Some of us are in desperate need of a GPU upgrade and have the money waiting while some people are buying up GPUs just to make money.

What time do we think the 3070ti will be available to buy on Nvidia's site on the 10th based on 3080ti availability?
Lots of people seem to have had success around the 14:30 mark but it's anyones guess how the 10th will go. Nvidia are clearly sending all traffic to one particular store so make sure you are logged in to that store and ready to go. If your experience is anything like mine was yesterday then you may as well not bother wasting your time (seriously), I had chrome extensions auto refreshing multiple browsers between 13:30 and 16:00 and never once saw the option to add to cart.

When is the 3080ti getting released ?

I see OCUK 3080ti pages say "available soon" but there no date.
You been under a rock the last few days? Release was yesterday, immediately went out of stock everywhere, OC decided not to sell any because bots were hitting their web store hard. Apparently they are going to try to figure out how to get their stock to non bots but that probably means it'll be done in the Members Market by way of dropping codes for people to redeem but Members market access requires you to have 1000 forum posts so most of us won't get a look in if that's the way they decide to go.

TL DR If you don't currently have a 30 series GPU already then you can pretty much say goodbye to high res/performance PC gaming for a couple of years at least.
