Some people care for the fact they are being extorted. Top of the range cards are escalating in price way beyond what they should be for what they actually are. People talk about the tight profits, it's all nonsense. The supply chain all take their cut, and nvidia are making a fortune.

People's expectations have to change if they want the best.

For me I will never spend that much on a card, I have better things personally to spend my cash on than rtx or to run poorly optimised games faster.

I agree, Spot on. I can afford the card, but why the hell on Earth would I spend £1,800 on a gpu to play video games when, it clearly cost half the the price. Nvidia, and said companies, are scapling you guys hard! And you are bending over to take it. I will be laughing when they are charging you £5,000 for a 4 series gpu and making you wait 6months for it.

You can buy, five PlayStation 5s for the price of a rtx 3090, yes five! If you can't understand that you're being scapled then you need a reality check. Things are going to get much worse with Nvidia monopolising the GPU market and all you guys paying up are quite frankly ignorantly supporting it.

It's disgraceful! All those paying are also part of the problem, if people are paying it then prices will continue to soar and said companies will perfect the tactics and force preorders for guaranteed profits.

I ordered a system from Overclockers on the 16th Jan including a “*Build Stock* ASUS GEFORCE RTX 3090 TUF GAMING 24GB GDDR6X GRAPHICS CARD”. I am just wondering if anyone can tell me the significance of the “*Build Stock*” on my order?


Can I assume I am in the same waiting list and part of the same backlog as anyone else that has simply ordered the card or is it going to be an even longer wait for me?
 
Amazing the amount of people coming onto these threads and commenting on how they "can't believe" that all these "crazy" people will pay certain amounts of money for a product they are interested in. How about sod off and mind your own business?
