Went to watch that Gear Seekers review of the Strix 3090 and what a mess in the comments

"My source says ETA 16/10"
"NO, MY source says 31/10"
etc etc

What's their source? Their asses?
 
I'm torn about whether to cancel my order. I have an MSI 3090 arriving today, but I'm loathe to give up my 29th position in the queue for the Strix. I guess I'll see how the MSI performs and if I'm happy with it maybe sell the Strix to someone here who's languishing in the 300s somewhere. I can't GIVE my queue position to someone, but I can help them out.

Or maybe I will sell the MSI 3090 when the Strix arrives. I dunno. It's hard to know what to do, really. Depends on how the MSI performs and how long the wait for the Strix turns out to be. Unknown factors. But I'm certainly not going to keep both cards or attempt to make a profit from one or the other that's for sure. Would rather help someone out who's waiting.
 
Hey Guys, how does it look the stock situation with MSI Ventus 3090? What is the total order number? I am wondering about swapping from 3080 (~500 place in the queue) to 3090. What do you think?
 
one thing I've learned is that it's best to obtain the card directly from retailer, as if getting one from other person meaning it will be harder to deal with RMA/warranty being carried out. With RTX being fresh batch I'll stick with getting from retailer as i'll have assurance on getting it sorted promptly if it's being recalled etc.

No idea, since the one they sent me yesterday, arriving today, is a return. And I'm getting money off for that. The stock they said was arriving – seems it's not been sent out yet. Best thing to do would be to phone them first thing!

I’m pretty sure I saw someone order one yesterday and end up first the the queue, but that might have made other people buy it too so the queue may be a lot longer now.

Fifty quid. They told me the box seal had been broken, but that the card had not been used. Buyer just changed their mind, apparently. But I'm totally willing to send it back if that turns out not to be the case and it has been used/tested and it's just a bad overclocker or suffers crashes or whatever. We'll see. Can't sniff at 50 quid for a broken plastic seal.

Oh gosh, definitely send it back! It's not worth to risk. That would make sense in 30-50% off.

Edit:I should probably just say now that was a joke there is no risk financial or otherwise. it’s a punt at getting a 3090 abit quicker if I wasn’t so set on the Strix because I hate having 15 different RGB softwares I would do the same.

Just received my Asus Tuf Gaming OC 3090, best of all 2 bags of Harribo!

Good luck to those still waiting hope it ramps up fast now and you don't have to wait too long.
