** NVIDIA GTX 1080 FOUNDERS EDITION: WANNA PRE-ORDER?

People complaining about the price- what good do you think it will do? You're basically wasting your time here as nvidia won't be reading your posts and go like 'omg no one is going to buy our stuff let's make them cheaper''. Nope, they will be laughing all the way to the bank. If you want good performance cheaper wait for amd's offerings or buy a used GTX 980 Ti. It sucks, but that's just how the world works. If you want to complain just contact nvidia and let them know. Prices aren't going to change anytime soon unless Polaris turns out to be a beast. So let the guys who can afford/don't mind paying the extra dough enjoy their stuff.

You don't think nVidia will have marketing teams reading popular forums to gauge public opinion? lol

Not overly happy with the price but I will pre-order the EVGA one. I had £650 set aside, so fair one and I want my Youtube channel to get some good interest. All gravy and YOLO :p

You should do a giveaway once your done with the card :D

Just joking mate :D Though i do beleive you will find that your Titan x will be on par or slightly quicker from game to game. If i remember from a review i watched, a 1430Mhz 980Ti was 2-3% faster than the 1080 so thats atleast on par and if i remember your Titan x was around this core speed or slightly faster?

Aftermarket 1080 is where its guna be at me thinks!

I bought 680's at launch and paid £414, 780's at launch I paid £500. Now over £600. So in 3 years we'll be paying nearly £1000 for the xx80?

Ffs.....

Agreed! But I would be careful using that line of reasoning...

D.P. Will be along shortly trying to convince you that's purely down to inflation; and if that does not work, someone else will pop by and tell you that it is because the 1080 has superior performance hence the higher price. Lol!!

Not sure if these guys are raging fan boys or maybe have vested interests :p

but but its also on a new node too which is why its higher priced :D

I believe the opinion of forum goers all over the world make any company at least take notes.

I think that the 1080 that is not available for another week and you can see the pre order price of it, yet not being able to actually click pre order yet has no reason behind it ;)

Of course there all testing the water ;)

They would take one look, see all the petty bitterness, hate and stupidity then immediately block the site.

Public opinion? Sales figures. All this stuff was being said on every card release in recent years, they still did alright.

Prices will come down once more stock is available, as I've said before, plenty of options available, you don't have to buy this card.

Graphics card prices are getting a little silly. Harder and harder to justify. Games aren't really getting any prettier on pc. Ps4 has uncharted 4 which is ambitious and big budget, things like that would justify big costs. But nope, 260 quid gets a complete console and that game.

I have to buy a new front door first before the wallet lets me in for a 1080, ironically it is red and i will be coming over from the AMD :D
