** NVIDIA GTX 1080 FOUNDERS EDITION: WANNA PRE-ORDER?

If the 1080 is this much (I know it is the more expensive 'founders edition') then how much will the ti version be when it eventually shows up!!!?

By the time the Ti launches, 1080's will have dropped to less than £500, which will leave the Ti to occupy this £600-650 segment.

So next to no volume and all the AIB cards are reference... and the reference either overclocks well while screaming away or overclocks poorly while quiet? £620 and above, lol. Also all the AIBs charging more than Nvidia for the same reference card, quell surprise even though everyone figured they'd be releasing cheaper cards for launch based off Nvidia misleading everyone into believing that AIBs would have their own custom cards out for launch.

Anyone paying £650 for one of these is mental. Polaris 10 likely won't beat it but it will be close enough to bring prices down. Also when Nvidia is finally shipping real volume prices of the reference and custom cooled cards will come down. You'll be able to get one within 3 months at £450, easily.

Gives people a week to come up with the funds. :D

Good idea...

Dat asus premium though.

The really really crazy thing is that Asus get away with it. Same way people will pay more for Nvidia, they'll also pay more for a literally identical card from Asus over another manufacturer. once again if everyone refused to buy Asus for a couple of months the Asus premium would disappear.

Can I ask a stupid question...

Are these actually different from each other? Other than the box? I mean they look identical?? I thought the whole point of board partners was customs fans and overclocks? What on earth are these?

Pretty much though I expect they'll massage it up a little for the ti release.

I can't get over the fact that these are basically the GTX680 of this generation and nothing could justify spending £620 on a GTX680 for me.

These should be identical. Some brands offer different warranty and other things, but the cards themselves are all the same.
