** NVIDIA GTX 1080 FOUNDERS EDITION: WANNA PRE-ORDER?

I can see a few cancelled orders if cards are not shipping within a certain time frame...

That's when the sensible rational side has time to reflect. :p

Cards are due throughout June on all models, I have around 20,000 plus ordered, they won't arrive on the 3rd, maybe a few hundred as the days and weeks go by more stock will come and it will free up.

Those who order first, get first. :)

HB bridges? What's the story there?

I only purchased 1 x EVGA 1080 FE due to the lack of availability on the HB Bridge! I was all set to buy two, but it seems pretty pointless without the matching bridge.

Who knows one card might be enough for me and I can save the money towards when the the new Titan comes out :)

Apparently the normal LED hard bridges will be fine. Only the bendy flexible ones will have to send more data through PCIe bus instead accodring to interview with guy from Nvidia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO7pfttVAn0 1 min in or so. Grab a rigid LED bling bling bridge and you will be fine :)

On the MSI FE it says more due today. Are you actually due some today or is that going to change.

If i wanted to cancel an order would i have to call or can i do it via my account. I can't see any options.

I just know after I got the new box and installed it , benched it, I would feel buyers remorse and slightly violated :p

Thats what I was afraid of. I wouldnt see the cards until next week anyway for stock reasons.

I'll await some input from the lucky ones who managed to get on the site.
If they say good things then I cannot see why I wont buy two cards.

I'd rather know and make my mind up after that. At which I will most likely order 2x SC models for release. Or possibly keep my Ti's who knows :).

Yeah but those "regular" LED hard bridges are still like, £40 or so and I'm not buying twice! :)

Just keep your ti's

Then sell them when 1080ti hits...

Let's face it full fat 1080 ti is going to be a staggering card....the 1080 is a tad weedy for the cost !

20,000 orders in a couple of hours? Crikey, whats that - roughly 12 million in sales.

Looks like Nvidia were right, the market can bare this price. Worryingly, it could mean an even more outrageous price for the Ti variant.

Ah well, despite being a big gamer and quite easily able to afford a 1080... I just can't bring myself to spend over £500 and for £500 i want a decent custom OC'd card.

Probably will be but at what cost ;) and what timeframe? £800+? 6,7,8,9 months?

1080's would likely see me through this gen on 144hz 1440p. But id rather see some input first. I dont mind waiting and would rather get the cheaper custom models than the FE. £110 diff over two cards.

If its not really that much faster then I'll wait for the 1080Ti for sure.

Call me stupid ...but I did get the 524.99 cards right....

I can see ,when the market is well oiled with 1080 product in a few weeks ,we could see a 1080 for 499 on a gibbo deal sooner than you think.;):p

This is pre order taxation at its highest I have seen in all my years

Cheers Gibbo, I assume these also get Saturday delivery free if they land on a Friday like the FE cards?

I'm confused... When I placed my order it said pre-order for June 3rd ETA. Is that now translating to 'sometime in June'?

I wonder how many orders for the FTW cards were placed in the 6 minutes before mine?...

Cheers :)

Thats the problem with th OCUK site, it only tells you when the next batch is due, not how many batches deep in preorder they already are

I've seen the msi 1080 X for over 700 in places...that is just ludicrous.

Isn't it just. Must be the dual RGB lights... I fancied a MSI 1070 too.

Then surely your SLI 980Ti's should see you through also? There isn't much difference is there?
