did you get a bridge?
You know there are some very good reasons to upgrade now for some of us. For anyone in my situation its silly to wait and get a TI and it makes far more sense to upgrade now. Its not about being desperate, its about making perfect sense. So yes you are very out of touch.I'm out of touch, I must be. I can't believe there are so many people desperate enough to buy this overpriced, over-hyped, glorified future mid range card that is causing the website and forum to run slow.
I have spoken with the purchaser regarding this and I'm afraid that he's advised that we wont be stocking any of the HB SLI bridges in the near future i'm afraid so if you did want one you'd have to source this elsewhere. Sorry about that.
OCUK aren;t stocking the HB bridges for some reason, i asked in CS and got the following response:
And I can't see anywhere on-line flogging them.
Then what do you call the low range?

You also seem to be confused about mid and high end cards. Just because a card isn't the fastest in the family it doesn't mean its not a member of the high end family. Any cards ending in xx70+ or higher are part of the high end family. That's how the naming scheme works. The 1080 isn't the fastest card planned for the family but that doesn't mean its not a high end card. If you start calling the high end cards mid range then you have to start calling the mid range low range. Then what do you call the low range? Anyway I plan to get one as it offers lots of benefit over waiting.
I am surprised by some of these prices, although I can't help but feel like we've been tricked... the sky high stupid price of the FE knocked us off our feet, therefore softening the blow of what are still some very expensive custom cards.
9 months from now 1080 £300 used, smart man awaits the proper pascal.
What a bizarre statement, Games suddenly become more fun because you spent £550+ on an overpriced mid range GPU that really isn't much of an upgrade over the 980Ti?
I resisted.
The more I think about the 1080 and the pricing the more I get less excited.
Now its here....its like (is that it)
lol
Not going Titan.
Well done for finally seeing the light padawan.
Clear you mind of the hype and let logic flow through you, you have!
p
Hoping not to insult, but did you do a clean sweep of old drivers and install new from fresh ? Not sure if install drivers with old card then sticking in the 1080 would help ?...
I'm not so sure TBH...I'm not sure the 1080 is such a good deal on reflection...Gregster and others will buy regardless and that's up to them but at the last minute my sensible part took over and thought hang on what am I actually spending 600 quid on...
And suddenly I thought Na....it's a bad deal.
The 1070 makes much more sense to me...
Can anyone at OCUK confirm the FTW EVGA cards are due on the 3rd or are they just placeholder dates?
