I wonder if it's driver related.

Seems strange how some games effect it more than others.

Wouldn't be surprised if after a driver update it was more equal

My two galax 970 ex oc will oc to 1468 MHz befor gives in regardless of voltage or tweaks , will find out soon which is the weaker card when test seperate , both hit 8000mhz on the memory no bother , will c how high they go tho.

I wouldn't say so, as my ASIC is 61%

It will have an effect on voltage control with the standard BIOS, the BIOS won't let the voltage go over a set limit (1.25v IIRC), so if the card has a very high ASIC and uses 1.1V stock then it will take the whole 87mv in AB, if it has a low ASIC and needs 1.24v at stock then regardless of what is set in AB it can't add more than 10mv.

My EVGA 970 ACX 1.0 will only do +100 on the mem, as does the EVGA 980..

Memory clocking poor this time around :/ for EVGA...

The 970 has an ASIC of 63% but it does boost to 1500Ghz BF4 stable for 3 hours+ with no extra volts.

Anyone here got coil whine bad? never had it with a card before but this is so noticeable with my giga 970 g1 its annoying. Gets really loud when playing games.

This is strange, my card overclocked a lot better today, this is the best stable OC I could get

Is it safe to leave it at this whilst gaming, I tend to play hours on end

Test it out in a game for a few hours to see if it is stable.

Okay, one Gigabyte 970 Gaming ordered and expected to arrive this weekend...I guess I'll see some difference from an Radeon 6950 2GB.

Did some tweaking tonight and basically i've come to the conclusion that i'm limited with the bios on the card.

I've run 1614 core and 4059 memory = 1643
1604 core and 4104 memory = 1649
1607 core and 4104 memory = 1650
1614 core and 4082 memory = 1650

All heaven 4 benchmark scores

Each time GPUz has reported a PerfCap reason for not enough power.
