** NVIDIA GTX 970 REFERENCE EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE FROM OcUK IN EUROPE!! **

Just got my card this afternoon, not had chance to test it yet but will do later tonight.

Took the card out the box to give it a quick check over and noticed a small red ink mark above the LED on the side of the PCB itself. I've no idea what it is, or if it's some sort of quality control mark, or if it's meant to be there (it's a silly place to put it on, if so). I've tried removing as much of it as I can, but it looks like it's soaked into the PCB.

Anyway, will report back later with my testing.

Never noticed it on mine, but checked it and there is one there must be some kind of QC mark.

You can change the LED to white without removing the cooler. Although, it's uncertain if the manufacturer would dismiss an RMA because of it. I know EVGA don't care.

Guys you can do this and your warranty will be intact but not on the led failing.

Any feedback on Whine...so many cards sold no one reporting anything on the forum? :D

Chop Chop!

Which normally means very happy customers, they only post to complain. ;)

They are all so amazed they are doing a 24hr gaming stint in silence as the rest of the family can sleep due to no crazy fan noises or strange buzzing sounds. :D ;)

Any chance you can take a pic with the cooler off Gibbo, seen as you did this yesterday? :)

Its being put back together now and sent of for review. :)

But if you google 980 NVIDIA PCB you will find plenty of pics and this is identical to that. :)

installed no whine and whisper quiet

Very nice!

Can I ask which PSU? As if your PSU is not silly high-end then even more impressive. :)

Sorry if this has already been asked/it's staring me right in the face but, what's the length of this card? Or more specifically will it fit into a Corsair 240 case?

I've just got another one from stock as were sending another card out for review, I shall measure it whilst I've got it to hand and update the specification. :)

Assuming it doesn't differ in length from a regular 980 (same PCB, cooler), it should be 267mm long. The Air 240 lists max CPU length as 290mm. Should fit with plenty of wiggle-room.

Yes it is identical in dimensions to 980 reference. :D

Yeah it'll be SLI, what is the thickness of the HoF?

I have a white build so it'll look the dogs gonads.

Still, I really like the look of the exclusive 970 reference cards.

Is there any news on when the HoFs are in Gibbo? If its hijacking the thread, apologies.

Also, Is there any deal that could be done on two 970s and the Acer XB280HK 4k Monitor. Its all on the shopping list.

Drop a post in CS section (pre-sales) and I shall reply to you there. :)

Thanks. Siding with the G1 if there's not much in it, I do like this reference design but the cost difference isn't insignificant.

Might wait for the EX OC CWR Infinity Edition and see what that's all about.

In short it is a 970 EX OC Black Edition but instead it has an all nickel plated IO plate, heatsink, heatpipe and it is all jet black in colour with backplate. Then it also has the inductors housed in different containers and they are then glued to the PCB. We've also had the factory overclock increased as well to 1329MHz boost minimum which matches the G1 and in my testing it was boosting happily out of the box with no overclock to 1404MHz, which is very impressive.

It is designed with an 8 Pack look/image with all black design, right down to the I/O plate and the look shouts absolute quality, it is all metal construction apart from fans and it being all black in colour means it works well with all motherboard designs/colours. :)

Overclocking wise, well I have tested one card, so it cannot be taken as what they will all achieve but it was able to run Heaven 4.0 at 1620MHz core and 8400Mhz memory which is a very good result.

If you think it is the card for you we have scheduled our launch time for 12:01 next Friday in UK, Germany and Hungary. We hope to have external reviews going live at the same time also! :)

So they're cheaper than the non-infinity version listed on the site? Is there a reason for that!?

Would also like tour advice.

I have the 980 HOF pre-ordered with you guys. I'm not sure whether to stick with the HOF, change for a 980 Classified, or get two 970 infinitys.

What would you recommend?

Which is the none-infinity version you are referring too?
