** NVIDIA GTX 970 REFERENCE EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE FROM OcUK IN EUROPE!! **

Are we likely to see any deals on the MSI 970 GTX this side of christmas?

Absolutely no chance I am afraid.

In actual fact our landed cost has nearly increased by £10 since the first batches of stock we took simply because the pound has weakened so much. :(

We have still not put our pricing up, so no chance of it reducing I am afraid.

hi, are these in limited supply? i need to wait until after xmas to buy 2.

also will you be stocking these nvidia sli bridges

If we run out, we will get more end of January, but they are selling extremely fast.

SLI bridge is USA market only, trying to get some but time will tell.

I wish I had the money for one of the cards with this cooler on, I like them a lot but only got the doller for a standard 970.

cards look really good and can see why they are selling fast!

Good job on getting the cards for the UK Gibbo

Cheers and for the world you mean? :D

yeah and for the world, I miss read and thought it was everywhere but the UK.

glad you managed to get them for the world! lol

Only available from our companies in UK, Germany and Hungary as that is where our HQ's are based. :)

Can you only buy it in the retail store in the USA or something?

I have checked every single GTX 970 on Bestbuy in the USA and they do not list it, so I am assuming its a retail store only?

Also is it really only $299.99 with tax?

P.S. without seeing one in the flesh I cannot state what if any difference there is, if it uses a 980 PCB like ours it shall be near identical, the only other difference on ours was the factory changed the containers housing the inductors to further help reduce noise (coil whine).

Hi there

OK asked NVIDIA about this Best Buy card.

They have informed me we have a worldwide exclusive as an Etailor and as such our advertising is in line as BestBuy have that card available ONLY in-store exclusively in USA market for high street.

So it is only available in USA and only on the high street from only Bestbuy.

Also complained how Bestbuy are selling it below what I actually paid, the response was buy 100,000 units at a time. :D

yes its 299in tax in some stores others are 379 as of people in US have confirmed

also it seems like it does not use the vapour chamber

also have seen it on neweeg but seems like an exclusive item when you buy a system off them

can we see 299 soon? like a special black friday or one daily deal.. would be awesome :D

would be nice to finally get to use this

You will never see $299 or £299 here in UK, like I say we pay way above that ($299).

NVIDIA say it is Bestbuy highstreet exclusive.

NVIDIA SLI bridges are USA only, were trying to get some but looking unlikely.

Our reference 970 will not be discounted, not even on Black Friday, were selling over 50 units per day. :)

Just shows how much we get shafted over here :)

Yeah my toys came out the pram for sure. But that is life.

When I buy a Mustang, if I buy the UK version, it will cost me £10,000 more than just buying the exact same car in the USA. :(

I guess it depends if you want the steering on the wrong side :D

Don't cost 10k though and it don't bother me.

The way I am thinking now is I want the GT350 anyway, so will have to buy and import my own from USA, at least I save money that way, just no warranty though, so something to think about.

What about your reference 980? That went up in price recently.

As I warned you all well over a month ago, reference cards were end of life, you will now find OcUK is really the only Etailor with stock of 980 reference and now we have made the business decision to increase those prices.

We did warn you over a month ago. :)

So I guess that means we WON'T be seeing it in the Black Friday deals then?

Not reference cards, no chance sorry. Even though I purchased thousands of them at launch due to know this shortage would come about, our stocks are very low. The last Gigabyte card sold out today and the rest of the cards showing in stock on our website are now all below 100 units in stock, we've got less than 500 total left and they are selling faster and faster as we become the only source for them.

Hence the price increase, and I warned everyone it would happen........

379.99 US Dollar = 240.61 British Pound Sterling
379.99 USD = 240.61 GBP

Ahhh if only! :P

I'd take 2 if not 3 and drive to the store with a grin on my face right now (when you open obviously!)

I'd actually buy about 10,000 of them!!!

Weird how there was no test or mention of the reduced coil whine technology that the card uses in their review, like if there was any at all, or if it was greatly reduced. Considering that this was one of the main selling points of the card, it seems to have been over looked in that review and makes it some what incomplete imo.

They mentioned it had no coil whine, read the complete review. :)
