Nvidia GTX 980 Owners Thread

I just tried BF4 @stock in 4K maxed and the fps were fantastic, that's the good news.:)

The bad news is when I got back on the desktop one of my Corsair 1200i PSUs blew up and it looks like it has killed the CPU, all the GPUs and the RAM.

If you are going to have a malfunction you may as well do it in style.:D:)

Ouch

Update

It looks like it is just the one PSU that has blown as I have just managed to get it running on the other PSU in there.

I have shut it down again until I can get another PSU as it is too much for a single unit.

It is only a machine and there are far more important things to worry about so even if it was a total write off it is not the end of the world.:)

don't skimp mate, just slap a strider in there.]

I am stuttering at any resolution. vsync at 120hz is smooth and frametime is 8ms in quad-sli which i think is superb.

There seems to be a lot of negativity online aimed at corsair psus - you should have known better and got superflower units.

Im in EVGA 980 Superclock Sli

Core Boost Clock: 1404MHz
Maximum draw in Heaven 4, 490 watts
Temps 72 and 75 degees
Heaven 4 score 3286 default clocks

Bit of a teething problem as soon as enabled Sli Heaven would not run, games would flicker or crash. After a bit of goggling found it was the Sli Bridge just moved it to second connector and fixed, weird.

what is the best setting to use under sli in nvidia control panel -
Physix settings

auto
gtx 980 1
gtx 980 2
