That's with the bios power limits removed. With the limits removed the card auto boosts to 1459 with everything at stock.

Had it running at 1630 core but still needs some tweaking. 3dmark Firestrike is a strange one, still working on that.

I know you're doing it for the fun of it, but you've put in a lot of effort and voided your warranty just to gain 40pts on my card that I took out the box, set 150/250 in Afterburner all on stock volts and power target.

It just doesn't seem worth it?

Not voided my warranty at all. I can simply flash back the original bios and no harm done.

If I destroy the card but shoving too many volts through (which I won't as I haven't really touched the volts and Maxwell is pretty much voltage locked anyway) then i'd happily accept my stupidity :p

Fair play, mate. I'm not criticising by the way. Just making a passing comment.

No worries, wasn't having a go either so please don't think I was :)

Unless your really stupid with the volts and let the card roast then your not really doing anything extreme to the card.

Out of interest those who had the fan issue with the SOC, does the new bios from KFA2/Galax spin the fans down to 0 when the card isn't being used?

Okies thanks, was going to see if I could have them spin to nothing but it doesn't appear to work. No biggy as the card is quiet anyway

Is it normal for the clocks to drop from 1533 to 1522 and back to 1533 on occasion? I can't remember if my G1 970 GTX did it or not

Considering the 980 HOF V2. Can't see the difference between it and the normal 980 HOF apart from a few core and clock Mhz? Oh and 60 quid.

apparently it is because they can't find processors that will do the same clocks as the V1 due to demand so the v2 chips are binned lower
