That's with the bios power limits removed. With the limits removed the card auto boosts to 1459 with everything at stock.
Had it running at 1630 core but still needs some tweaking. 3dmark Firestrike is a strange one, still working on that.
Not voided my warranty at all. I can simply flash back the original bios and no harm done.
If I destroy the card but shoving too many volts through (which I won't as I haven't really touched the volts and Maxwell is pretty much voltage locked anyway) then i'd happily accept my stupidity
Fair play, mate. I'm not criticising by the way. Just making a passing comment.
Considering the 980 HOF V2. Can't see the difference between it and the normal 980 HOF apart from a few core and clock Mhz? Oh and 60 quid.
Is it normal for the clocks to drop from 1533 to 1522 and back to 1533 on occasion? I can't remember if my G1 970 GTX did it or not
Sounds like it's throttling. Do you have high temps or high power %?
Is the voltage dropping at the save time as the clock?
No voltage dropping that I can see, temps are about 73/74C
I'll keep an eye on it Thanks
Thermal throttle at 70c by the sounds of it.
Mine does a similar thing but with a Volt drop too.
Yep volt drops from 1.250 to 1.222 and core from 1533 to 1522 at about 72C
Looks like a custom bios is the only way to bypass that?
Raise temp target in afterburner.
