Nvidia GTX 980 Owners Thread

Is this in your original edited bios or have you done another?

That's the one I uploaded. The changes were made in that one

I've only edited my original bios once and that's what I uploaded.

It's pretty much the same as the 970 which I tweaked. That got to over 1600 core and 8300 memory

Success!

Core : 1503
Memory : 3800
Volts : 1.275

I'll give it a few weeks, then try a higher core and stay at that memory, as I think it might be the memory clock which caused it to driver crash.

Thanks James

Well..... LOL

Having backed off the volts and lowering the power target to 102, upping the memory has posted my highest Fire strike score.... 13488

So will leave the volts slider alone then...

Nps, have a play around. You can leave the power limit and voltage sliders on afterburner if you wish. The voltage on my 970 was limited to around 1.31v (1.275v according to afterburner) but it always showed it wrong. The SOC has voltage reading points under the back plate but you can't get to them with the back plate on.

I'll be putting my card under water tomorrow

"Driver has stopped responding"

Straight away when loading Dying Light :(

1500/3800

Strange, mine runs BF4 at 1493 and 4000 memory without any issues

Try flashing your card back and see if it crashes with the same clocks on the stock bios? If it doesn't, try editing your bios with what I changed and see if that helps.

Ok back at my old bios but with Power Limits raised & Temp Threshold higher on the minimums. So far so good in Dying Light but with the default voltages

- Once again it's throttling back in 3DMARK, ok this card is starting to annoy me now :(
