** NVIDIA PRICE DROP: GTX 780 & 770 MASSIVE PRICE DROP!! **

As someone who also loves benching, I would be going for the Classifieds. I have seen what these are capable of with the right tools and seen guys hitting 1400Mhz+ on Air

Thanks for quick reply.

I know in real world terms theirs not a lot between them all. But the geek inside me loves messing and seeing higher benching scores.

Some people may think its sad, but that's why these card are made I suppose.

Also what memory is use on the classified? I know the Lightning uses ELPIDA which isn't great.

So in your opinion is the Classified worth the extra £60/£50/£30 over the Gigabyte/MSI/ASUS cards?

Sorry for all the questions.

Hmm temptation....

Got a 4gb Gigabyte 770, stick with what I have, get a second for sli or shift it over to another pc and get a 780....

Believe what you want lol. Sick and tired of trying to explain, Gibbo has told us time and time again the 7 series cards from nvidia continue to sell well.

Selling well and selling less than your only rival is two different things, gibbo has said enough times that AMD are increasing market share due to pricing, the fact Nvidia have eventually reacted is all the proof needed, if you can't see it fair enough.:)

Some people may think it's sad including my Mrs and kids (they always rip me when I am benching) but it is quite a buzz.

The Classy uses Samsung memory, which is regarded as the best.

For me, I paid £459 for a Lightning 680, when I could get a normal 680 for £370, so yes if I was buying, it is worth it but I do love a bit of e-peen and I push the cards hard to get on top or near as damn it in our benching threads :D

Only you can decide if it is worth it though bud.

I told you why they reacted because it isn't a monopoly anymore, we knew price drops were coming anyway, just didn't know how soon.

They've had 3 months of 780 sales, now they are arguably going to be outselling the 290X as well in the weeks where the 290X should have been grabbing customers.
