** NVIDIA PRICE DROP: GTX 780 & 770 MASSIVE PRICE DROP!! **

I wonder how AMD will respond? The 290X isn't overpriced, it's just that we've now got lots of OC 780s with good quality custom cooling vs a single reference 290X with a fairly poor cooler.

I would like it to go further, and i think it will, watch the 290/X prices come down next, a good old fashioned price war.

Bring these GPU prices back to reality.

Thanks to AMD.

Sounds like the card you want is the 290 (non-X) for your budget.

With the 290 for around £350 would be my best guess.

If they do £300? then Nvidia will have to drop again.

438mm^2 vs 561mm^2 AMD have a much smaller DIE, more room to move price wise, the Brand specific coolers are also on the way.

The 290 is almost certainly the reason for the nvidia cut timed now, but it still leaves the 290X for a month or so with only the reference model. With 780s at £400, the 290 can't be more than £350 now - which is very good for us.

Don't start Gregster, Classified was the reason I had to upgrade my PSU if you recall, my original choice from back then :)
