UK Online pc retailers act like OPEC when its comes to GPU pricing. Where one go's the rest follow. Don't expect a sliver between pricing on the 3080 tomorrow.

Me too, and it is "black gaming" actually, and it does have a back plate...
That's not the backplate, I'm referring to an exposed PCB on the back of the card which will be visible in most builds

Ah I get yeah, I'm used to having the PCB on show with cards tbf, but the way the card will be mounted in my case PCB won't be on show
Looking at the prices in Europe and the US they seem to be fair prices. $750 for the ASUS TUF, conversation and added VAT, it adds to up £700 anyway. These seem to be likely just the prices everywhere now.

It's more for peace of mind for me, I've heard they help with GPU sag which is going to be a problem on these beefy bois!

No black is the cheapest model no back plate. Gaming has a back plate and slight overclock.

Gigabyte have confirmed the Aorus Master and Xtreme cards aren't releasing tomorrow, they have a live stream tomorrow announcing when they are releasing
As rumoured earlier in the week then where it was said that almost all the cards available on launch date would be the reference based none custom cards.

3080 MSI Gaming Trio X price just increased to £829.99. At £750 it was looking good for the 1815 boost clock and 3x8 pin power connectors. Back to the drawing board on what to try and secure tomorrow. For me, the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth increase will finally allow me to get proper 12bit colour and 4k 120hz. I guess OC'ing isn't the be all and end all.

Meh, there's always the 3080 FE I suppose, Nvidia will have ramped up production massively, to ensure humongous amounts of stock available for everyone.
I am not surprised its at that price. Its the highest pre overclocked card and might end uop being the highest one full stop.
Even EVGA has only listed their FTW3 ULTRA card at 1800Mhz. Thats EVGA second best card in their range. The 2080ti FTW3 Ultra was the 3rd fastest 2080ti you could buy beaten only by the Auros xtreme and Zotac Amp Extreme. I presume the cherry picked speed binned Kingpin will come in higher but then they cost an arm and a leg and likely to be close to £1000.
