** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

Meh, there's always the 3080 FE I suppose, Nvidia will have ramped up production massively, to ensure humongous amounts of stock available for everyone.
Doubt it, the FE cards have never had great availability when in demand have they? It'll be a complete **** show trying to get an FE card at fe launch price for the next month(s?) :X

I wish there was a sarcasm smiley, but I thought the tone and text used would have been enough. :)

I'm gonna clean my f5 key in preparation :D

Dependent upon full-reviews and noise-levels being acceptable, I'll likely go for a 3080 Founders Edition. With my CPU being AIO/water-cooled, I suspect the "upwards venting" of the FE cards will work well within my new system. The FE's should be easiest to source at RRP, and hopefully get the better-binned silicon.

I am not surprised its at that price. Its the highest pre overclocked card and might end uop being the highest one full stop.

Even EVGA has only listed their FTW3 ULTRA card at 1800Mhz. Thats EVGA second best card in their range. The 2080ti FTW3 Ultra was the 3rd fastest 2080ti you could buy beaten only by the Auros xtreme and Zotac Amp Extreme. I presume the cherry picked speed binned Kingpin will come in higher but then they cost an arm and a leg and likely to be close to £1000.

Indeed. I guess waiting to find out the real world potential and difference OC'ing these cards make, is the smart call. Then I can place my own value on what buying a potentially more capable card for OC'ing is.

Right now, the Zotac is sitting pretty. Nice aesthetics, previous history of solid cooling and low noise and a 5 year guarantee.

Noise levels will be acceptable, it's the heat output that won't be. 320W from a stock founders edition is the most power hungry, highest heat output single GPU cards in recent memory. More heat output than the 290X, Vega64, Radeon VII. No matter how quiet the seemingly awesome cooler is, that heat is going to be output regardless, and will heat your room/house.

I'm speaking as a Radeon VII owner (295W). It's not fun in Spring/Summer, and due to Covid, I've spent more time than normal at home this Summer, I expect much the same next year.

I'm hoping AMD's new cards are less power hungry, they have the process advantage at least!

I think I've just managed to talk myself out of the hype train to wait for the ftw3 hybrid....

Depends on what the reviews say at 2 if im even going to get involved in the F5 **** show tomorrow.... I've got far too wrapped up in this, i've got plenty of jobs to do around the house while I wait that'll never get done if I get a 3080 this week :D

And 0 OC potential lol, I was one of the lucky ones with the amp extreme that didn't either crash or catch fire because of the crappy non contacting heatsink on the vrms, It was widely published on the web not to mention GN ripping it apart and being disgusted with it lol, Be interesting to see if they have learned from their mistakes.

Is you AIO on top or front of your case?

Good luck to those pressing F5 from 13.59. Think I will wait for the 3090 but will be interested to see what the stock levels are like for the 3080.

I hear ya! I think they learned a bit and improved for the 2080 series. I got a Zotac 2080 at launch and its overclocked really well and has been a great card. It actually arrived 3 days before the actual release and sat beside my PC as after installing it found out that Nvidia hadn't released the required drivers!!!

Haha that's amazingly lucky! Didn't read up about the 20 series, to be fair the core temp itself never goes over 67c which is pretty impressive it was the vrms not making contact and people bridging them with thermal pads all over the place :D:D

the VFM has gone out of the window then :D
I didn't mind helping to fund Gibbo's Ferrari in a small way, but not at these hikes.
FE under water might be the way to go. ... EK won't be able to make blocks fast enough I reckon
