3080 look ok for the price (£650) assuming deliver performance (RTX2080ti?).

What happened to all the RTX2080 Supers and RTX2080ti? Have they binned them rather than sensibly priced them? They done a Burberry?

Note- Don't worry, the prices will drop as the £ gets stronger. They always do....o hang on, my bad, they never change when £ gets stronger, they just get worse when the £ gets weaker. Thats better.

3080 far exceeds the 2080ti, that information is out there.

Depends on your needs, if possible wait for the third party cards to get reviewed and see how they stack up against the FE, no point spending over the odds.

Just getting consistant 60 frames at 4k. I have the 1080 TI at the moment. Games like Ac Origins I only get like 40 minimum in cities. I have the ryzen 3700 x to go with it.

3080 will trounce it at 4k if the initial vids are anything to go by, they're marketing the 3090 as 8k capable so 3080 should be a great 4k card.

yeah I thought of the 3090 but 8k monitors are like 2 grand minimum. It is marketed as 8k 60 fps but dunno. When I want to go 8k they will lot cheaper anyway.

It is, but presumably not all models will be in stock, so the in-stock will be for sale, others pre-orders.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 will launch on Sept. 17. If you're holding out for the RTX 3090, you can pick one up starting Sept. 24.

You cannot place pre-orders yet but you can on the following dates:
