** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

ASUS finally reveals the clock speed of its ROG STRIX RTX 3080 OC
https://videocardz.com/newz/asus-rog-strix-geforce-rtx-3080-oc-gets-1935-mhz-boost-clock

While ASUS revealed the clock speed of the non-OC model almost 2 weeks ago, the data for the OC model was missing. Yesterday the manufacturer finally confirmed that its flagship model for the RTX 3080 series will be clocked at 1905 MHz out of the box (in Gaming Mode) and up to 1935 MHz in OC Mode. The OC mode requires ASUS GPU Tweak software to be installed.
This might, however, not be the fastest card yet. ASUS is also developing a TOP model, as revealed by EEC listing. Considering that the OC model is already running at a very high clock and how often EEC listings are filled with models that are never released, the OC model may end up as the fastest RTX 3080 ASUS.
But they maybe releasing an even faster card ;)

What I find quite reassuring is if you filter to sold on eBay, it’s like 95% bot ruined auctions, and the few that have sold have sold for a vaguely reasonable price (and were actual auctions, rather than BiN purchases)

For the most part it seems like scalpers aren’t managing to shift stock and people aren’t really indulging their own impatience

That's an impressive out of box OC though.

It really isnt as it has to use overclocking software like their version of afterburner to get these clocks so it’s no written 8nto the bios or anything.

and since almost every card except Zotac can hit 1935 using overclocking software, what’s so special about the ASUs card?

One way of screwing them over would be to fake a sale outside of eBay so they still get charged the final value fee. :p

If your item doesn't sell you usually don't pay a final value fee. However, if you offer or reference your contact information to another user or ask a buyer for their contact information, in the context of buying or selling outside of eBay, we charge a final value fee for introducing you to the buyer. In this case, the final value fee is based on the higher of the fixed price, auction start price, Buy it now price, reserve price or the price identified between the buyer and seller.

So they get stung with a 10% fee of the listing price and no sale. :)

I already have RTX 3080 performance when SLI works, so don't need one. :D

Unfortunately I'm too lazy for that, I'm sitting on 3 RX 480, a GTX 1070, 2 GTX 1080 and 2 GTX 1080ti's that I should be selling. :D (plus eBay sucks hairy ones)
You need to watch the Gamers Nexus 3080 launch day summary video, specifically the bit where he talks about consumerism.

That is impressive. However, I wouldn't imagine there will be a large gap between them when manually OC'd.
It's all about cooling and power limit, the XTrio reviewed by Techpowerup boosts to 2085 max:

Add +45 OC (they only managed this amount).

Awww how cute, this guy thinks he's getting a card tomorrow

Highlights a point others have raised already that OCuk are still taking people's money without making it clear stock is non existent and thousands of preorders are already on their books with no ETA. Other etailers have stopped for this very reason. Appreciate business is business but might save admin of refunds when someone realises they're 10,000th in a queue.

Agree... It is pretty shady stuff. All there is to suggest that is a simple pre-order sign. I’m holding off pre-ordering, and just going to hope i refresh a website at the correct time (seems very unlikely...)

I got my order in at 14.10 on the day or release at a competitors and I still have absoloutely no idea when I'll get my card. I've received an e mail saying how many orders they've had etc but no news at all in terms of waiting periods. Money has been taken from my account.
