I've used OCuk over a decade and they have always been great from a customer service perspective. GPU releases is a hectic time no doubt but some transparency around ordering would help. I know Gibbo provides timely updates on these forums but I imagine not everyone reads them :)
 
Update from Gibbo on the sticky:

"Morning

We are at present working on a queue position updater for customers as we know this is something you all wish to know and we are working on a solution as fast as possible.

In the meantime please do not message or call asking for your position as it is simply not possible to answer at this time due to volume and the fact we are also cancelling many orders resulting in position at present changing.

Give us a few days to come up with a solution.

Onto good news a small amount of Zotac has arrived today and shall be booked in shortly."

Good point. Well, i’ll be waiting until 2021 then.... I’ve planned out a whole build, but there’s probably no point even thinking about it for a few months. What a great first experience in the pc gaming space. Should nave stuck with consoles!
 
Got my order in for a gaming x trio at 16:41ish on thursday but still no email confirmation ive phoned ocuk this morning and he said he would resend it but still not here?

Past launches of previous gen cards. Very small is code for less than 10.

But equally "small" could mean less than 10 but you dont want to admit that its less than 10 so you state its less than 50 (small).

Are there any other folks here who haven’t yet placed an order, and are simply hoping to refresh numerous sites and pick one up over the coming weeks (more likely months...)?
 
I held off hoping to order a 3090. With all the leaks about 10% increase over 3080 I'm undecided now. Having seen thousands of people on here commit to preorders have money taken with no ETA it's hard to know if preorder is the way to go or just chance it checking retailers. I may just go with the least popular cards once gibbo releases the order stats in order to save time. Most of the release cards appear very similar performance wise with the exception of the TUF which has excellent thermals.

I think you’re right. As someone without a preorder, I can’t be picky if i want a card anytime soon. Having said that, I don’t want to pay enormous amounts over MSRP, which seems to be the case right now with all cards.

I was in that boat, but figured I may as well hedge my bets and placed an order for a less popular card just now, as I'm not usually very lucky :)
