** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

Got to be mad buying old second hand tech at £499 when a brand new 3070 is cheaper though no?

Yeah of course...But we have no firm data yet on how the 3070 will perform...a £1200 card on Monday not getting a sniff at £499 24 hours later is hard to swallow...Not for me cause I used professional judgement and missed the 2000 gen cards due to them being overpriced tat :p

If the performance data is true...Have we seen this performance jump before on a NV gen-gen?

Haha. Same here. Was way over priced as the gab between it and a 1080Ti was small.

I am more than likely getting a 3080. Yeah shame only 10gb VRAM, but it is enough for every game I have on steam (hundreds) and future games at worst I can lower texture by 1 notch from say Extreme to Very High. Job done, money saved. Oh and there is DLSS 2.1 so I can always use that at 1440p to output 4K anyway and need less VRAM.

As I said before, 10gb is not ideal, but honestly I recon by the time this is an issue for me I will be on Hopper or Arcturus.

Can I ask a dumb question... what is MM?
It is a section here where people buy and sell stuff here from each other. No fees. But to have access to it, you need to be a member here for 1 year and have at least 1000 posts. Last I checked anyway.

Extra warranty, likely better cooler too, but will have to wait and see about that. I certainly like the look of the Zotac cooler more anyways.

But as I say, I may just go for the FE. It is slowly growing on me, so will depend on its performance and acoustics.

Yea but no UK RMA centre and I hear their customer support is not what it used to be. Seen some threads where people were very unhappy, so not touching them.

Yea, I'm tempted by the FE as well.

@PeegeeTips Your case: Expansion card Compatible up to 12.3" (312mm) long, width restriction-6.57" (166mm)

That card you linked is 299.9mm long.
Measure it?

thank you. I think you miss the point; i know what size cards my case can take.

i'm simply making my appreciation known to the asus marketing spods for making the dimensions so prominent.

it wasn't always easy with the Vega cards, as the dimensions were often:
1. differently quoted on different sites
2. not quoted at all
3. giving the box size not the card size
4. buried in the annexes of the marketing gumf

asus gets a gold star today. that's all.

No chance. Waste of money as far as I am concerned due to the such small gap in performance between it and the 3080. More than double the money for 20% extra performance? That’s mad, to me anyway.

In 2 years I will have sold this, added £50-100 on top and have a hopper gpu, probably a 4070 which will be better than a 3090.

Man the price of the 2080ti has plummeted...In all my experience I dont think I have seen such a drop before.
I've seen price drops on the used Market of course, but not this big....An EVGA 2080ti on MM is not getting any sniffs for £499

Agree shows you how overpriced they got too ..the other problem is they will drop even more and i have a feeling when the 17th & 24th comes and the 30's are sold out & hard to get because of supply... prices of the 30's will increase... and then you will have lots of peeps buying back the 20's and in turn them prices will nudge back up..

When hardware hookers like ourselves where skipping the 2080ti, they should've known what was coming if they decided to jump in.

If I was buying second hand now, I'd be looking at a used 1080ti over a 2080ti.
