NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

It is weird how they can take over £2k+ from each customer without actually giving you anything except a place in a vague queue. That huge amount must earn some good interest for them :)
My biggest concern is that *IF* anything were to happen to any particular company no matter how big they are, chances are all those deposits could get swallowed and we'd lose our cash and get no card.

That's why you pay with credit card in the UK, you're protected under section 75 and the credit card company will reimburse you.

Must say the addition of this queue system is excellent and OCUK should try to build something similar

Agreed, I get flashbacks of the 30 series launch when we were deliberately given vague information on shipments so we couldn’t determine our place in the queue (i.e large shipment of x, small shipment of y etc)

Still no 1pm update from the other place. Don't expect it to include any particularly useful info though. The 3-16 estimate OCUK have I'd guess is pretty much standard

I do feel vendors were (intentionally) non-transparent or, at best, oblique on supply for this round, OCUK excepted, with the hope people would a) go into long preorder queues, b) tie-in contracts/bundling, c) buy another product (no one wants your crappy, overpriced 5080 :))

So because of yet another launch and another sell out, we as a gaming/tech community have solidified even more increased prices next time. It'll keep going up until people start voting with their wallets. Imagine if not one person bought a 5090 for £2000....

I like the idea of scalpers buying them then nobody buying them lol

Minimum wage salary will probably be 40k a year by the time the 6090 comes out, what with Rachel from accounting in charge

6090 FE for £3k sounds likely.

Only thing I hope is that the same thing doesn't happen with my 3080.
I was like number 80 something on that got down to number 7 and then was stuck on 1 for 2 weeks.
