NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Ooooh, my queue position at the Other Place just came down a couple of places in the last hour, from 37 to 35 (Palit Gamerock 5090). Either they actually shipped a couple of cards, or there were a couple of cancellations in rapid succession.

Probably the latter.
Strange, I only went down 1 place, from 38 to 37. Any Ideas why this could be?

I am in the queue for Zotac 5090 Solid.
Started the queue in 66th place and now 60th, so 6 people have dropped out since launch.

There is zero chance of them getting 60 cards in the initial batch.
If I am above number 20 at the end of the month - Then I will cancel my pre-order.

This month might be rough though with the cny affecting production no?

I've gone from 116 to 104 in the zotac 5090 solid queue. At this rate it'll be start of April I'll get mine, rough but way better than the first week of June the queue thing estimates.

it is a battle of patience..

The annoying thing will be finding out that a huge batch is delivered on a certain date, meaning you need not have queued and earned interest on your cash

There was reports from Zotac Korea before launch that their first batch wasn't going to be till mid feb. It's possible it's the same here for the 5090, so until then it might not go down.

It's a shame companies aren't really giving detailed info about batches like what's happened with previous launches. They at least gave people a sense of some kind of movement or progress.

I'm in the 5090 Astral queue and only gone up 2 place in a week which i assume are from cancellations rather than stock being sent out ... started at 122 now 120 and hasn't moved in days

That might just be cancellations though rather than cards coming in and being shipped out.
Particularly if that's going down in single digits rather than like 10-20 in one go.

Similar. 93 to 86 for suprim liquid. 1 per day on average dropping out.

What do we think is a reasonable amount to expect in a batch?

They would never give that information away.
If they turned round and stated they are only expecting 10 MSI cards, 15 Gigabyte and 5 Zotec for February - There would be hundreds cancelling pre-orders.

I worked out if there is about 100 people per queue, for 15 different cards with the average price being around £2400 they are sitting on £3.6 million pounds of pre-order money which they are probably earning around £150,000 a year in interest or £410 a day, which isn't to be sniffed at - So over Feb alone they will be earning £11.5k interest on pre-order payments.

Fewer dropouts down in the 30s for a Palit Gamerock 5090. I guess dropouts are more likely up at the higher numbers. I'm not expecting it to shift much until around the 20th (at the earliest), based on the general vibe.
