I've my heart set on this SKU so hope some others become available to tempt my fellow queue dwellers away...Fewer dropouts down in the 30s for a Palit Gamerock 5090. I guess dropouts are more likely up at the higher numbers. I'm not expecting it to shift much until around the 20th (at the earliest), based on the general vibe.
I went down 1 place for the same card too. User error? LolzStrange, I only went down 1 place, from 38 to 37. Any Ideas why this could be?
Yeh it's been single digits for the last few days. I don't mind people throwing in the towel though, I hope more doThat might just be cancellations though rather than cards coming in and being shipped out.
Particularly if that's going down in single digits rather than like 10-20 in one go.
Nah, they definitely have done in the past. I remember both the competitor and OCUK doing it for the 30 series which had insane queues like the 5090 currently does. The competitor was putting them up on a page like they're doing now, meanwhile Gibbo here was doing routine posts explaining what stock was coming in, and if the queue had been cleared, even offering the opportunity for people to swap to that available card if they want. They would never give that information away.
If they turned round and stated they are only expecting 10 MSI cards, 15 Gigabyte and 5 Zotec for February - There would be hundreds cancelling pre-orders.
I worked out if there is about 100 people per queue, for 15 different cards with the average price being around £2400 they are sitting on £3.6 million pounds of pre-order money which they are probably earning around £150,000 a year in interest or £410 a day, which isn't to be sniffed at - So over Feb alone they will be earning £11.5k interest on pre-order payments.
According to Tech Power Up the Suprim was over 10db quieter than the FE, Palit and Astral at load, which is ‘half as loud’ - pretty significant IMO.
This isn't in the t&cs though and at no point did they spell this out during the pre-ordering process (IIRC), they wouldn't have a leg to stand on in court imo.
If it was challenged legally you would almost certainly lose and they would win. It doesn't really matter if the T&Cs don't explicitly allow them to increase the price because what they do allow them to do is cancel the order if their supplier(s) is/are unable to provide the items. Assuming they aren't lying at that point about their supplier increasing their price, then it would be quite easy for them to argue that the suppliers cannot provide the item at the cost expected and so the order is cancelled. They are just choosing to let you not have your order cancelled in exchange for more money.Oh I agree, if it was challenged legally they’d fold before it even got a sniff of a courtroom.
If the cost of having a lawyer send a “what the **** are you playing at” letter was half or less than the cost of the price increase while in the queue I’d seriously consider that route, personally.
I'm back up 1 now, so just down 1 on where I was this morning. Guess something glitched.I went down 1 place for the same card too. User error? Lolz
20th iircwhen do the 5070s come out ?
28% quieter for 45% more money. Depends if you think 10db is worth paying an extra £950 for
MSI cards have the fastest turnaround, bigger numbers than Asus and PNY, plus watch more than 50% of the pre-orders request their money back, also most people manage to end up buying from random drops5090 Suprim queue is on a go slow. Anybody that got one already is lucky ... *cough*

lots of real pro PC builders here I think, so I will ask a question,
I have this PSU : https://www.overclockers.co.uk/be-q...-platinum-modular-power-supply-ca-13z-bq.html
Which is not ATX3 but it runs my 4090, and no issues for 2+ years now with beQuiet 12VHPWR, now my question is do I need to change PSU to ATX3 or ATX 3.1 for 5090 or will this suffice ?
Tried to find any answers online, but nothing specific.
Anyone runs their 5090 on non-ATX3+ PSU ?
I have a preorder of Zotac Solic OC 5090 from OcUK, just want to be 100% ready for it![]()
