NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

This launch has been an absolute joke.

Thankfully I had a mere with a competitor back on a previous launch for the 5900x and bought a 3080 of a scalper. I decided I wasn't queuing or paying scalpers this year.

OC It would be fantastic to know what kind of stock is arriving and when if you have the info.

One in America just sold for a 5080 Astral *and* $5000.

Actual sold prices of 5090s today on Stockx

Yes £4.99 to get early alerts or £11.99 and it will Autobuy the card for you.
Yes but you still don't get one, the alert bot companies must be making a fortune.

One card dropped yesterday and 250 people had it automatically added to their basket. So the bot company must be making at least £3000 per month (250 x £12) just from notifying on 1 product

That's a pretty xtreme opinion!
Well no because every month that goes by you're losing value on the card because the 6000 series will be out in 2 years and we know it will be significantly better than the 5000 series due to die shrink. Especially more so when the cards cost so much the % depreciation is huge. Essentially you have to get the cards right at launch and have therm for the full 2 years to get maximum value out of them

I'm seeing a lot of frustration over spots not moving on pre-order lists and I can't understand why people don't see the issue. This has nothing to do with OCUK or ANY other vendor.

Besides massive demand, the factories making these cards are literally shut down for CNY, zero movement, no conveyor belts. All the shipments that were in transit have been delivered in small quantities. I get people are excited but being realistic, no matter how many times you check your queue position, it won't change much until mid-to end of this month at best. Sometimes it feels like people are expecting GPUs to appear out of thin air or are oblivious to the situation.

My frustration is because when the pre-orders appeared elsewhere, most cards were quoted 2-12 weeks. Even though it was one of them I really wanted (MSI Ventus 5090 @ <£2000), I went all out and ordered a Asus 5090 TUF OC @ almost £2600 - purely because it was quoted as delivery 4th-7th Feb. I paid over £600 more than I wanted to, to ensure I got a fast delivery. Some orders of those 2-12 week delivery cards have already been fulfilled.

I fully appreciate it's Chinese New Year now, and any that were shipped before have probably arrived already. It doesn't stop me looking at the queue and checking that any of the 12 people in front of me have dropped out though!!

Yes all the posts of "Moved 1 position in the queue" at the barcode competitor is incredibly boring, no one else is interested and it just necros the thread.
I wish the mods would delete these posts, there's not supposed to be competitor discussion anyway (and no I don't have OCUK stockholm syndrome )

TBH this is a pre-order discussion thread.
So where people are in the queue is what should be discussed - All other topics in regards to ordering should be placed elsewhere.

What else do you want people to talk about here lol?

Can we get this post deleted for off-topic? :D

Back on topic I'm 86.

You're so right...

Just fyi, I was down to 92nd in the queue for the 5090 solid non-OC before I cancelled the preorder... Also, I did ask the live chat for the queue lengths of several 5080s, but I didn't end up ordering again...

OCUK need queue trackers, it's way more fun

I think movements of just 1 probably isn't helpful since it was likely a cancellation, more than that and there might have been a small batch
