Welcome to FOMO.thats doesnt make sense when u can buy a 5080 for that price
so its a paper release with no stock at retailers what so ever ?EDITED:
2pm UK today for pre-orders with delivery sometime during 2025.
Wait until 2pm first lolWho on here is going to own up to buying one of these 5070Ti's for £900?
Jokes on all the people buying a 5080 or 5070ti now that didn't buy a 4080 or 4080 super.
Could have had almost/essentially the same thing for the same money a year or more ago.
I expect no one will admit it, they'll suffer in silence with their shame.Who on here is intending to buy one of these 5070Ti's for £900?
The people in the straight jackets.Who on here is intending to buy one of these 5070Ti's for £900?
I have to agree here what a farce. This whole thing has been disgusting. From the lies about performance and launch with no stock from nvidia, to the ripoff prices with retailers and scalpers. What makes it worse is every time I turn on youtube, seeing the soy face thumbnails of YouTubers with their 5090/5080 videos, it’s like our noses are being rubbed in it.
I remember going through all of this to get my 3080ti FE.
Had to religiously sit in the discord stock alert channel and still took about 8 attempts.
GN was pointing out how crowded the space is of cards that are within 15% of each other -- the chart is comically ridiculous. In this segment, you have: 7900 xtx, 4080 Super, 4070ti, 5070ti, 4080... and shortly 9070xt. Widen the spectrum to 20% and you have literally 4-5 other cards, even more if you go back to Ampere and RNDA 2.Jeez the tiers of cards below 5090s are terrible. Same rough price performance available in 4000 series for 2 years prior.
Just makes it all the more confusing for me why there’s a gigantic gap between the 5090 and 5080 which could have been filled by an actual x80 class card and have the other tiers filter down from there. I think nvidia know how to make money better than what we know but you’d think they would have got a lot more people upgrading this way. They probably liked their 4000 series Super release so planning something similar but unless you’re going for a 5090 from 3000 series or lower it’s not great imo.

This is one of the insidious states of things that nV has been working towards for years: stagnate and ultra-atomize the bracket.
Yeah think most are best waiting for a 5080 fe unless you can find a 5070 ti for close to msrpI'm late to the party and only just discovered there's no FE 5070 TI so there's gonna be zero chance of any going for MSRP
Was hoping to upgrade my little 3060 TI!
