Usually I defend ocuk. But what happened today was shambolic and disgusting. Turns out today the other place was not the enemy. They actually honoured their pricing.Anyone remember this thread:

Thanks for the MSRP(+£200) pricing, super appreciated
I bet they'd try and get away with giving you a 5080 first.
If they can afford a 5090 chances are they have a back up spare. How many silly sausages sold their 4090's thinking they were gonna get a 5090 today and now are stuck with integrated graphics i bet their is a few.
Happens every generation. Every time without fail the muppets make a reappearance. How many silly sausages sold their 4090's thinking they were gonna get a 5090 today and now are stuck with integrated graphics i bet their is a few.
I was shocked too, I ended up preordering a 5080 that was only £65 more than the FE.I was kinda shocked at the difference, we're not talking £20-£30. OCUK are much more expensive. So glad I got a pre-order on the other site, £140 is a significant saving.
That very strongly suggests the retailers are paying more than the MRSP for them from the suppliers and distributors, and that the MSRP was a fantasy like the 30 series cards etc.
Totally agree.I briefly mentioned this in the Radeon 9070 thread, but I'll stick my neck out and say it here...
Given the poor reviews/reception, I can see the 5080 sales rate being pretty mediocre once stock stabilizes... IF AMD can deliver a compelling card that sits between the 5070 Ti and 5080 and squeezes them both.
In that scenario, I'd bet we'll see a 5080 Super with 24GB RAM and +20% more cores (i.e., heavily cut down GB202) at around $1,200 within 6-9 months,
Maybe a 5080ti on the GB202, that said I can see Nvidia moving to 3nm sooner rather than later.and the 4090 missed out of a 40980ti
do you guys think the 5090 will have a ti?
Someone on the bidding site is trying to sell a picture of a 5090 for over 2.4k....Although it clearly states its a picture and is aimed at the bots . I dont think they will get anywhere.
Description states :
Please read description. If you are a HUMAN do not buy this item. Selling a picture of a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 JUST A PICTURE. Do not buy if you are a real person... NO REFUNDS will be excepted. You will receive 1 picture of the Graphics card. Thank you.
****DISCLAIMER***
If you are a human buyer do not buy this item
Scalper bots are welcome
Since there’s no more 4090s, if someone RMA’d a 4090 would they have to give you a 5090 because it has to be an equal or better card?
They’d give you a 5070 as according to Nvidia that’s 4090 performance.Since there’s no more 4090s, if someone RMA’d a 4090 would they have to give you a 5090 because it has to be an equal or better card?
Even that bloke on youtube Bang4buck pc gamer didn't manage to get one that's a turn up for the books he was adamant a few days ago that he was going to get one today.
Can AIB manufacturers aside from MSI and ASUS please sample their cards to reviewers. Keen to see how some of the Zotac and Gigabyte cards perform. No stock to give to reviewers I guess. Dark times.
