NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Some folk will cancel or grab another card as they become available so your queue position will likely drop
ooh hope so. I think everyone should cancel their preorder of the Palit tbh and get other brands. that plexi glass ARGB front... nasty, tacky even. Everyone cancel ok and spread the word. /s

A lot of the other cards said May straight from the get go on their website though which wasn't inspiring either haha.

I did expect CNY to be a factor but maybe not this much. Seems like Nvidia just hasn't been manufacturing as long as we thought. Makes you wonder what they were doing when they stopped production on the 4090.
i'm not sure how the tarrifs will work in the us but it feels nvidia rushed this to get some out at msrp then will blame tariffs for any increase.

Also Nvidia gave AIBs the bios pretty late

I'm disappointed with OCUK for this release, not because of stock levels (I blame Nvidia, launch should have been delayed a month), but because of other factors. This is speaking as a long term customer.

Guess this post will be deleted, but it's just my honest opinion.
I've said this before. This launch was just as messy as the 40 series where the day 1 prices were scalped to the moon and back.

Just watching the latest GN video (went live 7 hours ago so I assume it has been posted already), but their review sample left the Foxxcon factory on the 8th January, so there is probably a couple of thousand FE cards at best. What a mess.

Edit: video is in the post 2 above this one.

I think we've all been indoctrinated with hype and false "shortages" to (as a group) ever control ourselves, we really all shouldn't have bent over for Jenson...........the ONLY thing this has done has made sure 6090 will launch at £3500 minimum.....................they will not stop huge price increases until they stop selling day 1.

As it is, the world is ever heading towards total 'must buy' brain washing at all costs.

We are taught we MUST buy buy buy from birth, we are taught that we must ever improve only via means of spending money, 'upgrades' are the only mantra (but ignore lazy programming when creating games)

A sad time, for sure, they could have launched a 5090 at £4000 and half this forum would still fall over themselves to get one, crazy, get a grip.

Queue 'if you got the money then why not' responses.......which isn't my point.

Wow what's funny is that from reading the last few pages of people pre ordering, this time last week, only about 5 people including me stated that we are going to buy it while the rest of you were all slagging it off...
I could do a search now for all the users that have said they pre ordered and a post they made a week ago saying they won't get one and not interested in...

5090 TUF. 2.3k. Didnt see the point of plus £200 for the OC wnen I can do that myself if I want? Our am I missing something? I've already ordered a WB, so the air cooling didnt matter.
seems crazy when you can just config the settings yourself with msi afterburner but they will sell it because if that's in stock and others aren't people will just get that one.
