NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Reading toxic 4090 owner posts like

lol, yeah… I don’t think it’s only jealous 4000 series owners who are toxic on the 5080. That’s some mental gymnastics there. It is easily one of the most poorly reviewed GPUs in a very long time.

If the best you can muster to make a 5080 look good is “well what choice do I have”. It’s hardly a ringing endorsement is it?

Absolute garbage compared to a 4090 in that crappy Cyberpunk game than no-one ever plays at 4k

Not bad for a 5060 :p

Only problem is. Actually in you case there is 1400 problems. Lol

Finally, a Gigabyte Aorus Master Review:

Edit: lol no fan header for that 4th fan?! You need to plug it into a motherboard header. I guess it’s not a major issue as you can just sort it out via software (e.g. Fan Control) but I did laugh.

lol if you want to cherry pick games and not show the overall over several games then go for it. Now turn on full path ray tracing and see your VRAM run out.
Cinematic look on the 5080 at 3 fps vs 4090 here.

Watch this video so you can actually see real world :)
Also compare it to a 4090 AIB.

If you need to justify your purchase for a 5080 go ahead, but it's getting rather tiresome for us to see.

See he says that but I watched another one for the 5090d and they stated there was a header on the rear of the card for the rgb and fan. Doesn't matter to much though as the tests show that the fan had no real benefit. The selling point to me was just that there is nothing blocking the top there that it has no restriction to airflow.
