NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Urgh that's a few seconds after me but I've no dispatch (paid with cc too). Guess maybe it'll still come. Otherwise maybe I should rethink with the price and the rops scandal. :(
Zotac solid? I paid with a normal debit card, doubt that would make a difference over cc though.

You got a 5090 yes, but did you get an actual 5090 or a Zotac 5090?

You really can't make this comedy up now... most idiotic generation I have ever seen now.. From connectors melting to chips not fully enabled at the specs they were advertised as and the drivers mess now Nvidia is doing.. What next ?

TPU says the reason the ROP count shows normal without a driver is because GPU-Z can't query the card and it shows a default table of specs, but after the driver is loaded it asks the card directly and the card itself reports the lower than normal ROP count, TPU believes it's a hardware issue

Hope Nvidia fixes the idle fan behaviour on the 5090 FE. 1200rpm as minimum speed is criminal.

Besides that, it works well at 0.87mv. In Cyberpunk (PT) and Silent Hill 2 it averages 2450mhz using 350v. Core temp at 62 and memory at 75.

In Steel Nomad it does 136 fps, so in line with the usual 5% loss from stock, for way less power (peaks at 450 in Steel Nomad).

so the missing ROPS from 5090s

Would that be an RMA? or will it be treated like a few dead pixels on a monitor is normal and not classed as faulty?

technically if the GPU still works then its OK?

The spec is available on Nvidia's website. That's what they're supposedly selling if they want to put 5090 on the box
