NVidia show off GameWorks effects in Batman Arkham Knight - Impressive

If AMD and NVidia are on the ball and you have a card capable, you shouldn't need to turn effects to get playable framerates.

But if the effects are GPU-accelerated with Nvidia then on AMD you will have the disabled..
This isn't a bad thing though. I would rather have something disabled than running costing performance.

It's all down to good ole optimisation really. I've gotten to the stage where I'd rather games are delayed and optimised and have as many bugs fixed as possible than just having it launched.

Even the Witcher 3, with all its delays are still getting constant patches to fix things. Some, like the latest patch even just breaking the game for many.

In fairness, I have played a good 30-40 hours on The Witcher 3 and the patches have given me better performance (not that it was bad in the first place) but I am talking from a personal point and I am sure there is people with problems. This is a game that I have not had a single crash in.

Until the last two patches ( DLC and 1.05 ), I never had issues. Now I can't even start and finish a short secondary quest without the game crashing. :(

Performance is constantly getting better, but it's not helping if people can't play.

Mah... Will see how cheap I can get it for.. I refuse to support a company with such shocking DLC scheme..
£34 game + £31 for DLC --- Who pays this? - Ok you might say buy from elsewhere £20 from G2A but then still need to buy DLC from steam total £50 for a Batman Game? Really!

Good looking effects though and am sure it will run great for everyone.

Yeah its shocking but IIRC wasnt the witcher 3 £49.99 on steam at launch as well?

Back on topic I though cannot wait for this!

Ive had several freezes where the audio keeps going and crashes to desktop in TW3. Hasnt spoiled enjoyment of an amazing game though

Never ever played a batman game. Feel like I'm missing out a little.

To be honest I've bought them all but never completed them, I don't really like the combat mechanics in games like this where it's basically just button mashing, not sure if it's more challenging on the harder difficulties.

Multiplayer has ruined single player games for me though, I can appreciate very well story driven single player titles or ones with exploration like Fallout but the randomness of multiplayer and no matches ever being the same keeps me far more interested. I usually just buy single player games to check out the graphics :o

Ahhh, I was unaware of people having issues since the last patch and that isn't good at all. I haven't played it since Wednesday/Thursday, so might have a butchers later and see if I am getting the same.
