Nvidia to support Freesync?

Just had a quick play around using a FTW 1080 and my BenQ EX3203R that I use primarily for my Consoles, I've literally played a few minutes with Alien Isolation and Rainbow Six Seige with no discernable difference in my experience than if I was using my Acer Z35P other than the aspect ratio, a little more testing is required, but it's looking pretty good so far.

BenQ EW3270U 4K monitor

Just tested the Nvidia G-Sync Pendulum demo and it does indeed seem to be working for me, have also played Forza Horizon 4 and it seemed really smooth but i had no idea if it was actually running because my monitor does not give any indication its on. Need to do more testing :0

some may find it useful

  1. If you are in the 12 monitor list, Adaptive Sync should be automatically enabled

  2. If you monitor supports Adaptive Sync but not in the list, remember to manually enable it in NVCP

  3. HDMI is not supported! Only Display Port will work at this time.

  4. 10 series and Turing GPU are the only GPU that is supported for now.

  5. It might work, it might work a little, it might have bugs or straight up not work at all - This is only the beginning after all. Remember to leave your feedback to Nvidia through various channels, whether it is on Geforce forums or Support.

as i previously suspected lots are not seeing issues. even on "untested" models.

Just realised you can still enable the G-Sync indicator in the nvidia control panel and it will show up so you know if its working or not.
Where in the control panel is the option please? not downloaded new driver yet but might later, thanks

I'd be interested to hear how that Element Gaming monitor from elsewhere works. It's pretty cheap for a 27" 1440p 144hz screen.

BenQ XL2730Z - Working, not tested in any games yet.
Had a very nervy moment when I first enabled it, screen just went black and didn't come back. Restarted a couple of times, same issue, went away for a while and came back and my screen was on, Freesync enabled in monitor OSD. Now for some real testing in games!

Do I have to put my monitor to freesync as well as turn on in nvidia control panel? sorry if stupid question, thanks
