NVIDIA to Unveil GeForce GTX TITAN P at Gamescom

The worst part about all this with price increases is that people are needing to spend 400-500 quid+ just for optimal 1080p or 1440p performance. So much for great advances at a cheaper cost.

I once remember £330 - £350 or so was once the top of the range card.

I don't know how people complain about nvidia prices when the 980ti has fallen from being a £500+ card to a £350+ card in 6 months. Don't like the 'mid range' 1080 price? Or that the Titan P might be £1000+? Then don't ****ing buy them!

Grab an old flagship, overclock the nuts off it and play some damned video games.

Not really. I'm using a titan on a 1440p monitor and still getting 60fps and games are looking great. Medium and high settings certainly do not detract from the experience. Nowadays that performance can be gotten from a £200 card.

Instead the developers are just including much more demanding options in their games. Which is great for those who can afford these uber powerful cards as they get utilise that power but can also be completely ignored by the mainstream.

well it would be great if developers push the limits of the graphics card so that would stimulate the graphics card makers to continue churning better ones for the future
