NVIDIA to Unveil GeForce GTX TITAN P at Gamescom

If you think Nvidia will then release a 1080ti at £689, then its you that are delusional.

look, you have no idea what you are talking about and you don't know what the prices will be. So stop calling others delusional and wait to see the price, ok?

I understand some of you like to create arguments and make fuss from nothing, but this is taking it too far.

Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Jetstream 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card £589.99 10+ In Stock

Palit GeForce GTX 1080 "Founders Edition" 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card £599.99 10+ In Stock

Palit GeForce GTX 1080 GameRock 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card £608.99 10+ In Stock

Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 "Founders Edition" 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card £619.99 10+ In Stock

Yes keep on focusing on the £750 Strix with no stock for months and ignore that there are 1080s in stock sub £600. Helps your thinking for sure.

Founders were all bought and paid for pre exchange rate crisis. I think Gibbo said Pailt are paid for in pounds too.

So you have listed no card affected by the exchange rate. As I said already, as soon as stock runs out of these, they will all be £700 on restocking because of the exchange rate. Nothing to do with nvidia setting the price. Just economics.

And in a month, they will all be £770. SO please tell me why Nvidia is going to subsidize the UK and release a 1080ti 20% cheaper than the rest of the world to just the UK market?????? I am all ears.

And my point about the 30 MSI sea hawk sold at £899 was that there are plenty of people in the UK prepared to pay £900 for a gfx card and Nvidia will know this.

I am just going on exchange rates, yes I reckon Nvidia will just put another $50 to $100 (10 to 20%) on the new card price as per all the rest in the past. Point is, the starting point will already be 20% more expensive. SO you end up with the 1080ti being up to 44% more expensive in pound terms than the 1080.

Rest of the world only has to live with a $50 to $100 increase

The point is you don't know and I am fed up with people hyping things up again. Wait and see then we can talk when we have facts. Until then let's agree it's all supposition and you don't get to call anyone delusional. Deal?

I don't agree with you and I don't see the price being higher than 800.

My 1080 was 619. Once the stock is not an issue anymore, prices will come down naturally to around 580 - 620 giving it plenty of room for a Ti to come in at 800 or less. So how about we wait and see for a change, instead of trying to hype things up again, like it happened with the 480 launch?

Your price of £619 was the MSRP converted in pounds. Nivida has no competition and are selling cards well. please tell me why they are going to drop the MSRP? AT the same time, exchange rate has changed 10% and forecast to change another 10% so in order for your guess of 580 - 620 to come true , Nvidia will have to drop the list price of the 1080 gtx by 22.5%

Please tell me why you think Nivida is going to knock $157 off the price of the 1080 GTX just to help the UK market?

The price will depend entirely on competition from AMD

That's the only reason 1080 was over £600.

The 1080 product is identical to the 680 product in terms of mid range part first of a new die shrink, and ~same performance boost over previous gen flagship.

The 680 was £425 only because the 7970 existed

Yes all guess work and not hyping anything up.

We shall see who is right. ANd yes, we might an economic recovery before the 1080ti launches and we might have more than $1.50 to the pound and the 1080ti could even end been cheaper than 1080gtx launch price.

How i miss the days of more than $2 to the pound.

But as things stand economic wise, ignoring ANY nvidia prices increases, the 1080ti will be 20% more than the 1080 in the UK.

You can bleat on all you want about that will be economy suicide for NVidia in the UK market (it wont be)

Yep we need competition. Three times I remember Nivida has had to drop $100 off their list price of their top card because of AMD cards.

So a year ago the 980 Ti launched at £499 from OCUK.

Why then does the next gen equivalent cost £800+? If this isn't nvidia milking their superiority then I don't know what is. On principle I'm not buying one until it's down to £500 ;) but then I guess it could be worse and they could do an Intel and just slow down development due to lack of competition!

Would be £650 at $1.20 to a pound though..............and if the pound ever dropped to $1: £1 you would be paying £780

Anyway i thought it launched at £549 here and only later dropped to £499 specials on ocuk?

I never said anything about economy suicide. My mind is made up, if the TI comes in at under 800 then I will buy one, if it's more I will not. I don't really care to estimate how much they sell for, how many people buy it etc. A card needs to present a certain value to me, in order to buy it, just like the 1080 did. That's all.

Same here. But other people are saying that Nvidia wont want to upset the UK market if they pitch it at £800+

My point is Nvidia wont care.

1. they will sell anyway as proven by the 1080
2. Not Nvidia's fault our exchange rate is rubbish
3. We are a small percentage of a small percentage of high end card sales.

I do believe that a lot of people will care if the card comes in at over 1000 or less than 800. There has to be a breaking point for everyone, you can't just keep throwing money at a GPU.

Nvidia won't care about the UK market, but they will care about the US one, so I would still expect the price to be attractive in $.

Agreed. I would expect as with every previous card, the new 1080ti will be $50 or $100 more than the previous one.

Small and regular increases.

Won't help us but some people of this forum think the UK is Nvidia's biggest customer and they will give us a $200 discount.................

my prediction is a £1200 price point for the Titan p.

ti will come in at £900.

really fast performance, no completion and weak pound to murder wallets.

They'll still sell like hotcakes at £1200. Some who can't afford it will even take out finance just to get the bragging rights, same as every generation.

I wouldn't mind the extra cost of a Titan, so long as they don't make the Ti comparable on performance. At least if you're going to have multiple tiers of high end cards and much higher prices, then make them differential on performance as would make sense.

It's time the Titan was just that.

Same old on the forums. All speculating as always. Those who actually know can never say due to NDA. I really don't get the point of all this speculation. Pages of keyboard warrior inaccurate information.

Just wait and see if the price for performance u want is fine for you buy one!!
