This sucks as I literally have triple 360mm and 120mm fans ready to go. Surely theres no way its straight up incompatible? theres got to be a workaround when its a smaller rad than 420?? or do they just mean not compatible with matrix 7 so it will work but just not as easy to install?

Anyone know where I can get a upright adaptor (XL) as I don't think the normal one will work with the XL case?

OCUK sell the vertical and upright kits.

Looks like they just do not fit when using the distro. Below quote is taken directly from EK product page

The Top and Bottom radiator positions are incompatible with 360mm radiators due to O11D EVO XL’s asymmetric mounting pattern.

I'm going to get both the upright and vertical accessories but hold off the 90cm cable until I'm sure which orientation in going to use but this is going to have to wait a couple of months.
Gives me time to to get radiators and fans sorted and plan the fan orientation.

It's all a matter of perspective...

I've currently got a Corsair 800D, so although the O11DEXL is ~70mm wider (substantial), it's ~80mm shorter & ~70mm less deep!

Who needs 5x optical drive bays in 2023 though

Loads of wasted space in the 800D, it is a big beast though!

Indeed! Although I was using 2 of them (fan conroller & Bay res)!

sounds like your doing a simular spec to me waiting on the 14900k or 14900KS what motherboard are you going for ?

Also what distro plate?

Fan controller is old school, had one in my Coolermaster ATCS 200v2, wish I'd kept it tbh!

I already have a Aorus z690 Xtreme that I'm going to keep from current build. I have a 12900k atm, want the front distro plate you put in it
