Is there anything wrong with being an Oasis fan in your 40s or 50s?

This is the cohort of fans who admired Oasis first time round. However, the BBC is reporting that it is ageist and sexist to be of that age and wanting to see Oasis regardless to whether or not you saw them in the 1990s and 2000s.

I like my clubbing (house/trance) and frequented Godskitchen, Sundissential, Gatecrasher etc as a 20-something, and now I'm doing the same/similar franchises again as a 40-something. Most of the crowd are now in our 40s and 50s so I don't feel out of place, yet is it ageist that we're the ones wanting to go to Gatecrasher etc?

Then what about the sexism that is being reported by the Beeb? What the hell is that all about?!

So more than Taylor Swift...Some of these resellers are still living in the 90s it seems.

Oasis intervened on Friday evening while the pre-sale was still ongoing, issuing a statement which read: "We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale.

"Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via Ticketmaster and Twickets.

"Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be cancelled by the promoters."

Not sure how they’ll detect / enforce that.

Detect mobile ticket transfers? Educated guess, I hope they do manage to.
Tickets wont be available for transfer until shortly before the concert at which time there will be a massive amount of transfers as you'll want your ticket on your phone as opposed to the person who bought them having all 2/3/4 of them. I'd suggest it would be almost impossible to accurately detect resell tickets without cancelling some legitimate transfers.

The trouble is, cancelling tickets doesn't punish the scalpers, it punishes the fools that buy at inflated prices.

If somebody sells a standing ticket for £6000 and the ticket is cancelled, they've still made that money.

LMAO.

Noel you could buy your net worth out from down the back of his sofa.

:D

He could probably do it with the clothes on his back tbh...

Still doesn't change the fact, just because you are rich doesn't mean your savings/income has gone down etc.
