Oblivion. 360 Vs. PC

Even if I had a 360 I would definately go for PC.

but it's third person and doesn't require as much accuracy as a first person shooter for example.
erm... am I missing something here? Last time I checked it was primarily first person.

I just think it would be a game I'd be more comfortable playing on a PC. I can't imagine sitting down and playing it in front of a TV. Consoles are better for games that your mates can watch you play (ok so final fantasy is an exception :p). But I don't think oblivion would be that sort of game.

Agreed. If it's anything like Morrowind, then I'd definitely rather play it with a keyboard and mouse than a pad.

From the Elder Scrolls website FAQ... said:
What perspective do I play the game in, first or third-person?
Both. The game is meant to be played first person. However, you can toggle the view with the press of a button/key. Both views are available throughout the entire game.

Loos like you're right:)

Im getting it for pc purely for the mouse and keyboard and no matter what anyone says it will look miles better than the xbox360. Just look at cod2 on pc and xbox360.

So even the developers themselves stating that the two versions will be basically identical isn't enough for you?

Good stuff! I never actually completed the main quest despite racking up a hell of a lot of hours on it. I was going to dig it back out but I think I may as well just wait for Oblivion now. I'll definately come back to it in the future though.

LOL actually i'm the same mate. I never finished the main quest either. I got around 3/4 of the way through and got in to enchanting. Unfortunately in my hunger for power I ended up enchanting some far too powerful weapons and items which completely unbalanced the game and I soon lost interest. Everything was too easy when every swipe of your sword gives you a load of health points back! :p

Nope, why?

MessiahKahn, I know it's a very high end single card set up, but for a game that's meant to be very advanced, it's relatively low spec. in my opinion :)

Oh right, sorry.. its just you stated over 1000 pounds worth of equipment...with only two components...

Does anyone know if this game is equal to/bigger than Morrowind?.. any inclination on the length.. if its anything like Morrowind.. ill deffo get this as it will be much more efficient use of my money

For me too, I bet they're getting a hammering as there have been several hundred posts on the official forums within 10s of minutes about these videos, and the guy who did the interview's site is totally down.

Is this going to be like morrowind, where I spent hours running around with no idea what to do, or will there be a more solid storyline which guides me into actually having some fun?
