Ryzen 1920x running at 4GHz. My old 4820K and phenom II 955 are in the results list still. A huge improvement over the years.

I haven't finished missing about with it yet, but a quick run....

1278, Ivy Bridge-E is out... that 12 core Westmere EP is looking a bit nervous.

What an incredible thing, £165 lower mid level CPU, it utterly humiliates the 4690K its replaced, even with much lower clocks its more than twice as fast.

Last one.

I couldn't get it to 4Ghz and the this Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz will not go over 2933Mhz with good timings.

I wanted to achieve over 1300 Points, i did get that.

1303 Points, not bad for a £165 CPU on a £75 Motherboard.

A bit more tweaking...

1315 points. :D @ 3.950Ghz - 2933Mhz

It has aged well, that's for sure. :)

The X5650's are excellent chips for sure, £65 used on Ebay, still, the problem is trying to find good boards for them at a reasonable cost, i remember trying to get in on the X5650 Hype train when they first appeared on EBay for £65 a couple of years ago but couldn't get a good board for less than £150 and frankly that was a bit much for a 4 year old used board.
So sadly i never did get one.

But it has to be said these days with the Ryzen 1600 the X5650 is not as fantastic a bargain 6 core that it was, is.. Look at the IPC difference, i'm scoring 25% higher on a £165 chip + £75 Board, in terms of IPC you have to take into account the clock speed difference, 3.95Ghz vs 4.45Ghz, that's a difference of 13% on the clock rate, add that to the 25% difference in the scores the IPC is 38% higher on Ryzen.

Welcome back AMD, its about time tho....

I picked up my P6X58D-E motherboard, 10GB RAM and CPU at a total of £135 a couple of months ago for my very first build. :)
