Right, not long home myself now.
I went and took extra monies out of from the Co-Op by the owner's house. He wasn't home so I couldn't explain why no signatures on the form, never mind. Like a numpty I got 20min away and realised I gave him the money but not the keys
So back I went!
Some thoughts from today:
Clarkey - you can drift, boy can you drift. It was fantastic to watch, much more interesting to me than seeing it done at the bigger tracks. Fair play to you sir.
Frozennova - the MX5 was ace. You need nothing more than an LSD and that car will be even better around there. The way you were hustling it in the wet was very impressive! And you were brave letting me/forcing me to have a go!
Housey - already said it, but lunch, thank you very much. I'm certain everyone there was grateful.
Everyone else, thank you all for helping sure the day ran well, for making the most of the weather and having a go and having a laugh doing so. Also thanks to those who ensured everything stayed tidy and left us at the end with very little to do
Now my car ! Once it got dry and I got to push, I was not let down. The reason I bought this car vs an older STi became very apparent with the way it felt and handled. I was loving it and I am loving my exhaust setup! In the wet I was surprisingly not as confident as I'd thought I'd be. Tyres and throttle map may be the reason for that but I was definitely not pushing it in the wet like I did my old one. I felt like it wanted to go sideways too easily, but it doesn't help that full boost is achieved at very little throttle in Sport mode. Throttle map tuning will need to take place.
Looking forward to all the videos and pictures
