The fake Gibbo post about Spie in his speedboat raised a smile :p

Personally I couldn't care whether Spie has a speedboat or not, if he has built up a business and has the money to do so then who's to stop him?
Hope it all gets sorted soon, today is the first time I've been able to get on the forum properly for a few days - missing my forum fix.

Yeah I lolled on the speedboat quip - there again, my mates' dad has a speedboat, and he's a teacher married to a nurse. They're not exactly exclusive to merchant bankers...

Besides - Spie's the owner? Most successful company owners tend to drive something better than a beat-up Ford Focus? :p

Hasn't Spie had a Ferrari, Porsche Carerra, BMW M5, Porsche (X50)? I miss seeing his threads about his new cars, I guess he isn't swapping as much recently! Maybe another half had something to do with that?? ;):D

He owns the company, considering he employs 30 people from the local community (and Stoke can do with all the job's it can get) I won't begrudge him a few nice cars. I think he's owned everything he's had for at least 2 years anyway, hardly a prolific rate for someone who likes their cars and has deep pockets.

God damn those b****** OcUK directors spending profits on expensive cars!

Never shopping here again, bloody disgrace!

Now back to The Register to post more comments.

I did LOL at the guy who moaned he couldn;t send every part of his pc back to be checked when something went wrong and had to send back things one at a time.

Overclockers.co.uk - If something is wrong with your pc send everything to us and we'll fix it for free.

Nor would I begrudge him, I was simply pointing out what The Reg comments were possibly referring to.

I know. Ive worked at 5 computer resellers over the years and you would be amazed at the amount of people who dont understand the concept.

That buying parts to make a pc isnt the same as buying a pre made pc just doesnt compute in their mind. You buy parts, you take parts back ( its upto you to know which bit is faulty ) but if you buy a pc then its upto the retailer to sort it. I spent literally HOURS and HOURS of my life arguing this to customers at various return depts :p

If you dont have the knowledge/facilities/patience/time or knowledge to test your own parts and determine the fault then dont buy parts! its not hard to grasp the idea.

Do you think if you sent off for the parts and built your own ford focus and it didnt work, that your local motorfactors ( or who ever you got the parts from ) would sort it out? no of course they wouldnt. Slightly OTT example but the same principle applies.

Personally i dont have a problem with ocuk or its after sales service, but thats not to say some people dont have problems. EVERY computer parts seller has problems, and those who say they dont are either lying or fooling themselves, the true test is how they recify problems. If an order or an RMA gets messed up thats annoying but it happens, if when the problem is found they dont solve it... THATS when a company fails in my eyes.

Can't believe the extent to which people have slagged off Ocuk's service on theregister article. I've bought from here plenty of times and not once has there been a problem. In fact I'd say they offer a great service  Mind you I've not had to deal with customer support...

It's a similar situation to the forum.
2yrs ago or so there was an element on here who were intent on instigating arguments about race or religion or anything really and then complaining that there were too many arguments on here.
Criticism was taken on board and changes were made to get rid of the rubbish going on and now the forum is far less abrasive, now wouldn't it be good if those will still want to whinge about the place had the decency to try to change too, doubt they ever will though.

I had to comment on that Register page. I hated reading those negative comments. OcUK have been flawless when dealing with me and they deserver some credit away from those vindictive morons.

Keep up the good work guys :)

tbhi have had bad service form OcUK with an RMA, took a month to get fixed, but yewen was a angel through all of it, however i let my steam off on him!

yewen, IMO is the saving grace for OcUK. and a lot of other forumers think so aswell :)

nothing to anyone else at OcUK, im just saying, dont let him go!
