OcUK DDoS attack - £10,000 reward

I have never known a forum attract so much drama as OCUK. Ever. The amount of love and also sheer hatred this place has generated over the years through the numerous goings on has probably created some form of alternate universe somewhere filled with beings formed of pure emotion. :D

Probably not stopped, just a quiet point. You'll probably find it picks up again in about an hour or so, when people start getting home from work, switching their PC's on, and activating the Trojans on their PC's.

Hopefully I could be wrong though lol
 
Yeah, that mustang forum link is a bit odd and is giving rather a lot of free advertising to a competitor as well. Not sure if OCUK can have a word with the register as that article is at risk of causing quite a bit of damage to their reputation (undeservedly so in my view).

Criticism was taken on board and changes were made to get rid of the rubbish going on and now the forum is far less abrasive, now wouldn't it be good if those will still want to whinge about the place had the decency to try to change too, doubt they ever will though.

It didn't go unnoticed :), and has IMO anyway been a much better place for it.
 
YAY! I can finally access OcUK again.

Been about a week now without ability to connect.. :(, lets just hope it lasts more than a hour this time. Permanently me hopes.

Its because the forum has always had rules and 99% of the time they work and keep this forum focussed.
Of course there have been irregularities and there will be more but that's the price you pay when human beings are involved.
Because of those rules some people have been really pee'd off and can't let it lie so have formed their own 'anti OCUK' forums or post trash but they wouldn't do similar things against other forums who banned them.
Why?
Because they all know this is a great community and its not very nice being permabanned from here and I know what its like.
 
I love these forums. Such a diverse set of people from a range of ages and the rules are nearly always enforced in a nice and fast manor. :)

A link through a link. Not really giving advertising is it? It's the internet. You can't stop something or try and monitor it. Plus the article itself gives enough advertising for OcUK.

All these comments about "don/being banned etc" what a load a carp...SERIOUSLY?

Without strict moderators, posters can post what ever the hell the hell they like...THEN.....along comes new customer which has to view all the abusive comments...

So yes, strict moderation is put in place for a reason.... to keep the forum tidy, making sure everyone gets on, to help people and to show potential new customers that were the best.


Simple as :)
