** OCUK EXCLUSIVE - AK RACING & AROZZI GAMING CHAIRS **

Also, I don't if anyone has asked, but do AK and Arozzi chairs conform to BS5852 i.e. flame retardant ?

Best to ask in customer service section They should be as i understand all furniture with a foam filling sold in this country should conform to BS5852 i.e. flame retardant ?

So my so called "Replacement" came today, Yeah so I thought, Looks like OCUK has robbed a skip full of these, Full refund now I am so done with these garbage chairs, Bear in mind this is a £253 chair including delivery..... Yeah Looks like I am going for a DX Racer.

There certainly seems to be a lack of quality control on these ex-factory - obviously an inferior product range given the number and nature of the defects concerned. For the price - you'd be much better off buying somehting that may not look so "cool" but that is actually well made from quality materials unlike these cheap and nasty vinyl jobbies with rubbish plastic components and wobbly arms.

I really thought to myself OCUK will check for a decent one as I had already sent one back, Nice Quality control OCUK have and AK Racing.

This is really putting me off.

I feel sorry for OCUK who probably bought a large shipment from what appears to be a new line of chairs, on the understanding they would be as good as the other major eSport brands.

If I was OCUK I would cut my losses and send them all back to China before they do further damage to the excellent reputation they have built over the years.

That's a shame. I guess it is because they seem to have a Direct Sales model in the UK/EU

You could do what the Maxnomic guys did. They used to sell DX and now they have sourced their own chairs with their own brand. Not sure how they compare to DX though but I guess they knew what to spec as they were selling DX for a while before. Poor choice of brand name though !

Rik, forgot to mention, the Maxnomic guys compare their chair to a cheap competitor (looks, like one of those £100 imitation chairs). You should see what they do to it. Quite interesting.

I think the AKracing chairs look better than the DX racers, this is why I chose AK in the end. Obviously it's been a bit of a bad turn of events with these models. I think in time it will get sorted though, these early batches obviously are a learning curve for all.

Bailey has found some screws that I am missing and I should receive them tomorrow. The little bit of flaking on the headrest bothers me and the movement on the right armrest does too but not enough for me to RMA. However for the price these issue's shouldn't exist.

I am going to trust OC on this and pop over this afternoon to buy the Arozzi Enzo Gaming Chair - Black, we only live 15 minute car drive away so if there are problems it is an easy fix, I will post my experiences here after I get it built.

If I lived that close I would do the same, and inspect it in shop.

Took about 15 minutes to put together a little longer than normal had problems aligning two of the screws but an extra set of hands helped, no scratches or issues that I can tell, also worth noting I am on the large side 20 stone and this seat is handling me fine.

It's a shame OCUK can't arrange something with DX Racer. I did ask about this myself some time ago and was told that it was unlikely to happen.

I have the DX Racer M-Series which I bought after cancelling my pre-order for one of the AK Racing chairs. After seeing the issues others had I decided not to buy the AK. The DX Racer M-series is really great, not one single problem with it and I've had it for about a month now. It's very comfortable, looks great, all the parts are well made and the stitching and material is great quality and done right.

Anyone considering buying one, I think can be confident they will get what they pay for. They were great to deal with by email and delivery was very quick once stock was available. It took 4 days to get to me from Poland. You might have to wait a while until they get more stock but the ETA they had on their website when I bought mine was the exact date they got the stock and they shipped out to me the same day.

You have to inspect it before signing for it when delivered and if there are any defects at all you have to sign as faulty/damaged etc and they will replace it or at least replace parts that are defective. The box they come in is strong triple wall cardboard and they are well packed inside too. Took me less than 10 minutes to put mine together on my own and everything fitted together perfectly.
