** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

I ordered my FTW on the 30th so I assumed that I was way down the queue. Decided to check with OCUK and they told me I was 48th in the queue. Looking at your post, I think that they may have been wrong!

Suppose some could have cancelled orders...

Almost certainly. Buyer's remorse is going to be high with something like this. I know, I had to rush to cancel an EVGA FE order on another website last week.

Nvidia's incompetence on this occasion has probably given a lot of people enough time to think and change their minds.

Hmm maybe a lot of people cancelled with the delays etc. Fine by me because it means I am further up the queue!

Hi All

Update at the end of the week here in terms of the first stocks arriving, we hit an extra day delay on the SC so now first stocks likely next Monday 13th. There is a small chance we may still hit Friday 10th.

SC - 13th June.
FTW - 17th June.
Classified - End of June
Hybrid - Early July.
Hydro Copper - Late July

Just trying to keep dates updated here best I can.

Ben

Hi Ben

Any more word on the Classified (and FTW) water-blocks? I hope you had a good time at Computex :)

Regards

Good luck with that. Has been on hotukdeals all day gaining mega heat and it has been at that price for the last 3 days.

They must have a colossal amount of orders by now.

I ordered a good few days back before it went on hotukdeals , but I will probably cancel and get a 1070 so you might get one place ahead in the queue! :p

Keeping my options open :p

I doubt many orders would have been placed prior to it hitting hukd since it wasn't showing up in any site or referral searches and was quite tricky to find unless you really went looking for it.

Also, theres bound to be _A LOT_ of impatient buyers who just want the 1080, so might have cancelled and gone for the FE's that keep popping up

Wow the Strix has jumped by £40 to £659.. That is a fair increase - but OcUK must be sure the card is good to bump it up that much. I cannot flipping wait for this to be released.

It wasn't OcUK. ASUS changed the worldwide price of the Strix.

What i mean is paying top price for a top card the power adapter should included as standard.

I'm guessing the adapter is behind in manufacture, they want to get the cards out as quick as possible. Ben should confirm, but I heard it in the coverage at Computex. They were just using the classified to show it off.

The classified itself is still a beast, it should be the top custom card for a while. The gouge on the European market is crazy though, I expected the Classy level to be around £600/650

Then the decent thing to do would be to send them out for free afterwards. They could just do a simple web form where you could claim one using your serial number and purchase receipt as proof.

They would hardly be profiteering by selling it separately. It just means that the cost would not be included in the asking price of the card.

Listing something as a feature of that card and then selling it separately even though the card is a relative high end and expensive product is a form of profiteering IMHO.
