OcUK Jonathon Palmer Day - Drive an M3 GTP, Clio CUP, 911, Caterham 7 and more...

#15 is a work colleague of mine who started looking for a free date to book once he knew I was going on this. Seeing as we still had a space I suggested he book with us.

Excited Excited Excited Excited Excited Excited!

Never done anything like this before bar a rally day in York!

Im ridiculously excited about this now... Im hoping all the time I'm putting into Forza4 in the M3, RUF and Clio pays off. :p

My preparation for this has consisted of having a few runs in a Starlet at the last round of TSS after we broke the MR2 so that's the Clios covered.

Oh and I had a quick chat with someone at work at work about Porsches and Caterhams...

I'd be delighted if I got any. Despite having a reasonable amount of track experience this is still going to be a step into the unknown. Virtually all of the cars on the day will be more powerful than anything I've ever driven before.

GT5 has been getting playtime, but I'm away until the middle of the week so no chance to practise.

I shall come last, but I will pull off the best powerslide in the GT3 :D

Really looking forward to this... especially after having to pick up a "shed" today... RX8

My poor scoob's been written off by the insurers and now I'm not willing to pay £3k/year to insure an S2000 just because silver van man drove in to me (was 1700-1800 pre-100%-non-fault-incident) :( An S2000 is going to be my 25th birthday present to myself next year :)

I only got an X360 & Forza 4 yesterday, so i'll need to rank up a bit more to get to play with the RUFs etc hehe

Can't wait til next weekend! I've missed most of my usual events this year due to other commitments or unsuitable cars which has sucked - so it's going to be great to be back behind the wheel of some real cars :)

Just tried on my old race suit... I can still squeeze in to it! It's a bit... ummmm... snug!

Word of warning - especially if it's wet - don't wear Jeans unless they're the really thin flexible type or extremely baggy ;)

Is there any restrictions on what you can wear? To my knowledge there is not as they supply you race suits anyway. :)

They mention clothing in the booklet but nothing really specific IIRC. Just so long as its appropriate.

Also:
REMEMBER BOTH PARTS OF YOUR DRIVING LICENCE

This is a requirement IIRC. Hopefully my DR20 won't be an issue.
