Its just a server i run off my PC, got a few plugins. And we used Hamachi to connect with shr00m n Dragonhaertt. - b4 we came on the OcUK server.

Right i have an idea!!! and got it to work, another cart video following up soon enough!
 
(kinda random)

each floor has 2 steps and a number of channels of water running down.
top step is 7 wide (so water flows over it) and 2nd step is 8 so objects/mobs fall off but not the water. each floor drops onto the top of the next floor which flow the opposite direction.
at the bottom, you have one long line of cactus killers instead of a box.

thats probably like the one i saw on youtube - but you have to replant them afterwards? would be cool if there was a way to harvest the top 1-2 reeds.

yes, it doesn't take long to replant though.

I spent a while trying to work out if I could make an automated one, but I had no luck. You're welcome to try though!
 
I've never used cacti for mob killers, I prefer lava as I imagine its quicker.
I was just trying to show willhub my idea for what he could do with his spawner, which is getting pretty complex and uses cacti for killing.

Have just changed the settings so that minecarts don't damage players, mobs or animals as it looks like it's something to do with cart damage.

Saying that the server did crash a few seconds after Aypez drove a cart into some lava :p

I've decided to just scrap adding more floors in the design it is now and just slap a massive tower on top like the normal designs, then I might update the killing procedure.

Also I think my collection point is too close to the spawning area, when I go outside onto land and come back, the top area is full, but soon disappears when I'm back

on design atm just me because I'm trying to figure it out as i go.


once I plan out some floor stuff (once I've got the stairs done for scale)

hopefully can get some people to lay flooring and also hopefully I want to get other people to make the paragon statues as I'm crap at artsy stuff :p


Had lots of help digging though :)
