Instead of building re-inforced walls to protect it from monsters, is there any other way of building a house so it doesn't get blown to pieces?
don't stand near creepers.
or a fence.
I never thought of using a fence! But creepers could spawn on the inside of the fence? Hmm

I have a 7 block deep trench three blocks away from the outside wall round my house. Works perfectly.![]()
That may be close to the location where the tunnel from my submarine mine comes out. It is marked with torches and a sign, right on the coastline. Feel free to visitI have started building a house in the woods behind Halfmad's lighthouse (Which is looking great by the way).
Not quite sure what you mean by that? How does it work?

Total piece of cake. You going to use your main PC I take it? Easiest way to make a vanilla MC server is to grab the minecraft_server.exe file off the minecraft webby and follow the instructions outlined in the wiki tbh. If you want to get more serious then use the Craft Bukkit server wrapper as you can incorporate the multitude of plugins it has to offer into your gaming world.Sorry if this is a bit off topic but...
How hard is it to create a server for 6 people to just muck around and build stuff on?
Nothing can go past it so they all fall in. Acts like a moat, but with no water in it. Nothing shall pass.
